All of this misses a very important concept. None of us is capable of "getting right with God" through our own actions. Jesus Christ died and bled his own blood on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. As Christians we seek to follow Gods law because we want to - not because we have to. Yes, we'll stumble, and we'll fail on occasion, but it is through our faith in Jesus as our savior that we are saved.
I'm disgusted at these holier than thou conservatives, who insist on looking down their noses at the (so called) Godless Libs, when these same sanctimonious and hypocritical creatures commit the same sins, and just as often - then have the gall to wrap themselves in a cloak of Christian purity. At least the Liberals have the courage to be honest about who they are.

Your first post admits the evangelical pov by you stating What about these other things mentioned in the Bible that are sins committed just as much, we all stumble and need the blood of Jesus to get right. Like I said I totally agree and here is my issue. They’re not saying that, instead what is happening is they are saying the Bible doesn’t say what it does and altering it to fit personal needs and desires with unbiblical pov. Do you believe things like the Bible isn’t the inerrant word of God, the Bible doesn’t disagree with same sex relationships, overlooking everything said about a man and a woman, creation, God is trans and not the father and son like mentioned throughout the Bible and on? This debate isn’t a conservative pov it’s a Christian one and following what the Bible actually says. One example they used on the Bible changing was going from an eye for an eye to turn the cheek by Jesus, the thing is that they are not God to change anything.

This is what I have been talking about in my thread as a Horizontal Morality. Morality whose authority comes from loving your neighbor as yourself, instead of imposing your will upon your neighbors and calling it God's will.
Also known as following the actual teachings of Jesus, walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. Let's also call it "unperverted Christianity", as opposed to perverted Christianity as pushed by imposter organizations such as Turning Point USA.
