When it comes to "revealed" God figures around the world, across cultures, and down through history, I think they are all human constructs ~ "imagined", if you will.
So you think Jesus Christ never existed?

If so, that’s a pretty ridiculous position to take.

On the contrary, I think he most probably did.

He said He and the Father were one and made numerous references to having come from Heaven.

Was He lying?

Because He is certainly a “God figure” in Christianity.

I don't think anyone anywhere can do anything other than speculate about exactly what Jesus might have said or might have done because we only have what amounts to a hagiography [rather than historical material] about his life and that was written decades after his death by people whose intent was to create a new religion [based on a cult of personality] that was breaking away from Judaism.

Yes, Jesus is Christianity's God figure. That's true.

How do you know this? What evidence do you have to support this position?

Obviously, Jesus Christ’s Apostles wanted to create a new religion, but based upon what they heard and saw.

What other motivation was there?

It's my deduction based on a lifetime of reading and talking to people.

That’s a weak response.

I don’t think you have any evidence to support that position.

If you did, you’d state it.

Call it how you see it. You "sincerely" and "honestly" and "seriously" believe that I am "mentally ill", remember?

Who is more right than God?

And if your rightness exceeds that of God's in anything tell us so.
I think it's wrong to:

1) stone homosexuals,
2) kill women if they don't bleed on their wedding night
3) threaten the following for disobedience, from Duet 28:15-68:
a. rape
b. death
c. your unborn child being cursed
d. boils
e. blindness
f. famine
g. tumors
h. terror from invaders
i. festering sores
j. insanity
k. failure to succeed at anything
l. robbery
m. being seen as a tragedy from other nations
n. drought
o. disease
p. your home taken away
q. your livestock destroyed
r. attack from wild animals
s. Sisyphean labor
t. family members turning against each other
u. scattering and displacing your people all over the earth
v. being so desperate you unsuccessfully offer yourselves as slaves
w. never being able to find rest
x. genocide
y. every possible affliction including those not written down
z. threatening that you will eat your own children

What do ya know, I've run out of letters, and that's just from one chapter of the Bible.

So yes, I am more righteous than God.

Now you’re pool whizzing.

You lost another argument with me and so you’re going to destroy this thread with off-topic nonsense.

A while back you wanted me to provide an example of your pool whizzing when you’re losing an argument and here it is.

And this is just one of many examples.

You couldn’t if you tried - partly because you have no evidence for what you believe.

You guys always run to the Old Testament when you want to trash God and you have no idea how wicked and evil mankind was back then.

I haven't "lost" an argument. You and I have merely swapped our different perspectives. There is no "argument" about it. I don't think Jesus was a supernatural being and you do.
