The secular liberal agenda? Is that label given to those who don't view the world through the prism of ancient Jewish mythology?
While not having any concrete evidence I suspect that many of those that promote same sex marriages have little or no understanding of the Biblical message, yes, you are correct, ironic dont you think considering its the most distributed book in human history. But that's secular liberals for you. Let them form their own moral agenda, they will reap what they sow.

One could of course go through these assertions like 'ridiculing causes no harm', and cite instances where young people have committed suicide because of persistent ridiculing at school or instances where persons have expressed themselves in the work place and suffered dismissal, but it must appear to you that your open, honest and forthright opinion ...[text shortened]... honest, open and forthright personal opinions, valuable as they may be, I asked for evidence.
You presented me with seven situations [also found here: http://carm.org/gay-marriage-harm].

Do you agree or disagree with the stance I took on each of those seven situations?

Obviously I can't speak for all secular liberals, but from my own perspective, it's not a case of having no understanding of the Biblical message but dismissing the Biblical message. There is no message as far as I am concerned.

I have no comment to make, for while you find that your own opinions are somehow substantiation enough to render truth perceptible and adorn them with grandiose titles like honest, open and forthright and decry all those who prefer to deal in empirical evidence free from personal bias as secretive and by intimation dishonest, then clearly i have nothing to offer you. Have a pleasant day.

So, I took a stance on the seven situations you described, but your stance on those seven situations is to remain a secret?

How you construe that promoting empirical evidence and trying to remain detached and free from personal bias is advocating secrecy is a rather worrying contortion of your mind FMF, it must be like a pretzel factory in there.

You are being invited to give your honest, open and forthright opinion on the seven situations you mentioned, just as I did.

Thankyou for the invitation but I prefer to try to remain personally detached, if you dont mind. I will however consider any evidence that you have for your assertions.

Okay for the sake of the thread, I'll rephrase that. I reject the Biblical message.

In direct response to your post addressed to me, I took stances [not the same thing as assertions] on parental rights, freedom of speech, harassment, the rights of people who disapprove of homosexuality, teachers' responsibilities, freedom to transact business as one wishes, legal and financial liabilities etc. etc. You do not take a stance on any of these issues?
