So you do agree with the Bible when it suits you, good to know. Do you believe that verse applies only to other people and not to yourself?

I think it’s great Ghost is reading from and quoting the Bible. I hope he continues to do it and not just as a vehicle for trolling.

Hopefully he reads all of it (Such as Psalm 14) and not just the parts that he likes.

'When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know.'

Koran (Surah Al-Baqara, 13)

Now he’s quoting gibberish.

Well it was nice while it was lasted.

Always amazes me when a Christian doesn't extend the same courtesy to other religious writings that they expect for their own scripture.

I once went to a Christian church where the pastor announces that there is a Hindu Convention scheduled to start lower down the street, and he asks his gathering to pray for it to be stopped. I think they were a branch of Pentecostals

When I was 9, I remember Baptist pastors castigating Catholics. They said they were headed for hell. The crime: Sprinkling water during baptism instead of full immersion.

So petty and not Christ-like.

Christ excluded all other gods and religions in His ministry. No follower of Christ would ever do anything to encourage others to meditate on pagan scriptures. It's not a matter of courtesy.

You believe Islam is "pagan"?

The recorded ministry of Christ in the Bible lasted about 3.5 years., and was directed at the Jews. Do you think that that represents the entire ministry of Christ?

And it goes on on these forums all the time. Church Christians are the biggest offenders for blatant false doctrines.

It that why you would be too ashamed to call yourself a Christian?

From Merriam Webster: "The definition and etymology of heathen overlap with those of pagan: both words denote “an unconverted member of a people or nation that does not acknowledge the God of the Bible."

-------

Put in context, a Christian would consider any organized religion outside of Judaism or Christianity to be pagan. Likewise, a muslim would consider me a pagan.

'Muslims and Christians must raise young people “to think and speak respectfully of other religions and their followers, and to avoid ridiculing or denigrating their convictions and practices”, Pope Francis has said.

In a personal message to the world’s Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan, the Pope said: “Turning to mutual respect in inter-religious relations, especially between Christians and Muslims, we are called to respect the religion of the other, its teachings, its symbols, its values. Particular respect is due to religious leaders and to places of worship. How painful are attacks on one or other of these!

“It is clear that, when we show respect for the religion of our neighbours or when we offer them our good wishes on the occasion of a religious celebration, we simply seek to share their joy, without making reference to the content of their religious convictions.'

“We all know that mutual respect is fundamental in any human relationship, especially among people who profess religious belief. In this way, sincere and lasting friendship can grow.”

Pope Francis
