No they are not that is the point, the video links them with right wing extremism as in they are all good things, did you watch the vid, it reminded me of the film 'Parallax view'.

Yes I watched it; I've seen lots of this type of messaging over the years.

I understand that US politics is a little odd, but I find the idea that being a 'patriot' or a 'hard-worker' in the US would risk you being labelled "right wing extremist" bizzare tbh.

This is getting too much like hard work now, it not the US that is linking hard work, and patriotism to right wing extremism it is Paul Harvey, and He is not trying to make hard work and patriotism look bad he trying to make right wing extremism look good. IMO.

relativism, the promotion of perceptions such as being 'a mean bad A$$', as some
kind of virtue, the supersedence of politics over spiritual values, the promulgation of
materialistic philosophies, the break up family, wars, the influence of media, the
failure of education to inculcate moral values, the promotion of pornography, a
secularisation of institutions making it a criminal offence to have any spiritual
reference, less that it 'offend', someone, the substitution of psychology and secular
liberalism in churches, the abuse of children by clergy, financial corruption of
religious organisations, the inherent inequalities of the system which favours the
affluent, the promotion of greed through gambling, the promotion of perceptions that
anything can be termed extremism, that certain virtues can be promoted as
dubious, hard work, morality, patriotism, that marraige and commitment are
'uncool', that promiscuity is to be preferred, that the unreality of television
engenders values, sexually transmitted disease, all of which give an indication of the
present state of affairs.

It is not about working hard and being proud of your country, it is about promoting social justice for the collective "good" of humanity. Working hard is sooo yesterday.

actually we have not failed at all under the protection of our God Jehovah to counteract
these evils, but a thread wouldn't be a thread without some dig at the watchtower.

Obviously we saw two different videos based on our different world views. whether the construction of the video is an attempt to get across subliminal connections or a more innocent attempt to look cool it is the most blatantly political message masquerading as a non partisan religious sermon I have seen for a long time.

If I were the devil I would be keeping a seat warm for my man P Harvey.
