Those are words written in a book written by men to control other men and to subjugate women, and becoming less and less successful at both as time goes on and more and more people shed the shackles of organized religion.

Like I said, you wouldn't know a real god if it came down and jumped up right in front of you, for one thing, human foibles would not be in its agenda, there would be no jealousy for starters. A real god would be so far above that crap it would be silly to even contemplate.

God admits 'he' is jealous? Don't be ridiculous, try thinking about it for a while and maybe you will realize these are anthropomorphic attributes cleverly designed to attract weak willed people into being part of the leader's army of fear induced obedience to certain men's will.

There would be nothing even close to anthropomorphic in any god. If you ever realize that your blinders would come off and you would finally start to think for yourself instead of bleating the words of ancient religions far outside their time.

Don't get me wrong, I eat as much meat as most people. But yes, that book was written by animal killers, some of them for eating, some for worship. My main point is people have been being duped by religious snake oil salesmen for 3000 years or more. Control men, subjugate women, that's the main theme. Do it by fear, invent an anthropomorphic god, make your god in the image of men, tell a lie, make it big enough and weak willed people will believe, desperate for a better life, even if it's after they die, so they are told.

Of course, it's just co-incidental the leaders just happen to have the best food, best houses, best transport, whatever the era. This is not Jesus, this is that madman Paul who invented the whole so-called Christian thing. To make a religion acceptable in Rome, there had better be miracles and wow, Zing, Zap, now there are miracles. Prove I'm wrong.

Tell me no women were burned at the stake accused of witchcraft for millenia. Tell me how many women have been made pope in the Catholic church, or much of any other church. I see some in Methodist churches but they are far and away in a great minority. Why is that? Someone with female parts can't be expected to preach with the big guys? You wouldn't accept a woman preacher?

Although I was raised and baptized in the Baptist Church, I have attended
many other Protestant Churches and even cults like the Mormans and JWs
in my hunt for truth in worship. I have been too programmed against the
Catholic Church to give them much of a chance even thought I recognize
good people there, also. Currently I take communion with the Methodists
since my wife is a member of the United Methodist Church. However, I
have never changed my membership from the Baptist Church I attended
before entering into service in the U.S. Army. This Methodist Church has
had two women ministers while we have been there. The United Methodists
generally move their minister around so they are at different size churches.
I don't agree with you that Paul wanted to subjugate women or control men.
He wanted men and women to be able to control themselves against sin, IMO.

Whatever, it does not matter that I answer your questions or not, it doesn't
matter that you get anything presented to you, you are right, and cannot be
wrong. So answering your questions, or calling what is going on here a
discussion is pointless. You want to bad mouth me about that, run me down
your good at that.

All atheists, it appears, are good at that. I sometimes try to do a little
bashing back, but it doesn't seem to do anything but make them more
determined to do a better job running you down the next time. I keep
hoping they are worth the effort, but now, I know it is not for most,
but there just might be that one that needs one more bit of information
to turn him around to accept the truth.

All atheists, it appears, are good at that. I sometimes try to do a little
bashing back, but it doesn't seem to do anything but make them more
determined to do a better job running you down the next time. I keep
hoping they are worth the effort, but now, I know it is not for most,
but there just might be that one that needs one more bit of information
to turn him around to accept the truth.

I get caught in the bashing too, I normally never like myself when I do.
