One rotation of the earth or twenty four hours in this case.

So you also figure our Earth is the ONLY planet in the entire universe where intelligent life dwells?

I do not doubt that stars are very far away. The Holy Bible says that God stretched out the heavens. Have you ever heard of the idea of the fabric of space-time?

So what happened to the stars and light and time when this happened? I suppose they were stretched out together. How about you?

If your god was so powerful why did he need 6 days ??
If your god was so powerful why did he need to rest afterwards ??
Human characteristics assigned to a deity ????

As I understand it, God worked 6 days and rested on the 7th day as an example to us. He was establishing a work week for us. Some theologians say God did not need to rest. But I believe that after creating all those stars, the many animals and plants, and man and woman that God deserved a rest regardless if He was tired or not.

I would say if stars are billions of light-years away, then the light from them must have started out on its journey to us billions of years ago at the latest.

Red-shifted light indicates that everything is moving away from everything else; so indeed the heavens seem to have been stretching out since the big bang, in a sense. The verse you quoted is oft used by theists who support the Big Bang Theory.

I would say that you must be wrong, according to the Holy Bible.

I don't believe in a Big Bang Theory. I believe in a BIG GOD THEORY.

Yeah, the bible talks SO much about how far away stars are and red shift.
Why, it's a treasure trove of physics.

Your failure is that you think he HAD to do it in 6 days. That there is no other way it could be done.

Another thing you forget is that God expects people to come to Him through faith. Not because they are told to. God had to create the universe in such a way so there could be a segment of humans who have the free will to decide that God did not have a hand in it. This is the entire purpose of going about it 'the long way'.

"According to the Holy Bible"? Really?

What you mean to say is "according to MY zero imagination interpretation of the Holy Bible".

Would you say the weeks in Daniel Chapter 9 are literal weeks?

I am not saying God is forced to do anything. I am just telling you what God said He did. And I believe God.
