I wil say this - I fully believe in sex before marriage.

I had a friend who saved herself for marriage - married the guy and found out that they could not have been more sexually INcompatible.
She wanted soft and gentle and loving... he was noting but rough and harsh and callous.

They were divorced within 4 months.
I am guessing the man was not a virgin at the time they married.

There's nothing wrong with saving oneself for marriage as long as the spouse is in the same boat with them - that way they can learn about their sexuality together.

Christians: Sex before marriage is not okay.
I don't think all Christians (at least not all people who see themselves as Christians - of course other people who see themselves as Christians might disagree with them) see it that way.

How about just after marriage? Should be OK then, huh?
Sorry, but this is a complete tangent. I will not participate in derailing the discussion. 😛

But yes, sex just after marriage is a good idea, although in my case we were too damn tired after all the festivities to shoot for anything too wild. Of course, we were both damaged goods by the time we found each other. Very damaged.

They used to tell me that if you had sex as virgins on your wedding night, you would hear angels serenading you.

Any views on slipping the bridesmaids a piece during the ceremony?

Hopefully the music's entertaining in such a situation, because nothing else is.

In that situation, those two hypothetical people are having a subpar shag, angels or not.

Hey, if there's no pigment, then the Bible has some very wise words about what to do next. Check out Deuteronomy 22.

Christians are not the only religion. it would also be good to hear the views of others.
Christians think Muslims, Buddists, Hindus, Jews, etc., should wait until after marriage, too.

are there any Christians who think it's alright to be living in a defacto relationship. a couple may be ready for marriage, but unable to afford the cost involved for the desired wedding. why should they wait if money is the only problem. hypothetical question.

Definitely. Sin is sin. If you blow it early, the angels won't sing for you.
