The Roman Catholic Church is not the last word in theology and it is the very last place from which to expect an apology (for anything).

This is why I mentioned the Reformation.

We are far from the Dark Ages (also known as the Middle Ages), and so I expect that the bulk of Christian churches are now Protestant, and thus as far away from the RCC as one can get.

Faith is about free will. You are free to believe or to not believe. It is also not about cramming a religion down people's throats.
Agree with this.

For that, a reconciliation of the great 1054 schism needs to happen. Why think it isn't possible, in the last years before 2055...

No

Faith can be had under threatening conditions, but it's not something wholly self-determined. We receive a faith gift and feel called to respond.

Most brainwashing or indoctrination claims wouldn't categorically meet a level of seriousness. As if parents, teachers, pastors can't impose anything or impress upon anyone. World leaders "Indoctrinate" their democratic policies, well-intentioned, yet it doesn't yield well to all countries.

Interesting to me the oriental apostolic churches splintered from both the western and eastern church communions, over a small numerical detail. Nevertheless, paths toward intervention might make the risk greater trouble.
