what a piece of nonsense this is, why dont you suggest that he read the book for
himself and evaluates it with his own mind instead of insisting that he gets second
hand point of view from others. Do you want him simply to be able to spurt out the
opinions of others? what kind of Christian are you man?
It is a long book, unless one is a speed reader like my youngest son,
sunnydid may not want to read all that. The review I linked him to is
long enough for most people and is a fair review that praises BeDuhn
as well as suggest some of Dr. BeDuhn's bias in his book. However,
he is free to read his book if he chooses. I do not object.

its not a long book at all, i read it in less than a week. People should be able to use
their own minds to make an evaluation for themselves. Nobody makes chess moves
for you when you evaluate a position, why would they do the same for a book.

typical reaction when presented with incontrovertible evidence, sorry i find no basis for
anything you have just said in scripture and i may therefore dismiss it on those
grounds alone.

i suggest you read the verse again in the original language, even a little education is
better than nothing.

Most Christians I know either believe they know everything or believe that the only thing you need to know is ...[text shortened]... omething that is biased it cannot lead one to ones own conclusions unless one questions it.
I tend to agree that most people would rather be taught than try to
discover for themselves. But sometimes it is helpful to consider the
discovery of others and to be taught as well. It is very difficult to
discover everything on our own.

this, Gods word talks about taking in accurate knowledge of Jesus and God , which

You are sounding like the atheists now.

But after I had completed a Chess game, I would not turn down the
chance to have my game evaluated and critiqued by a Master or a
Grandmaster.
