I've asked the question on another thread, if the majority of Americans call themselves Christian but continue to vote for candidates that endorse such things as abortion, then are Christians the most tolerant religious group on the planet or do they disagree with most church teachings that it is murder?
Christianity was given to ALL of mankind, so to lump them all together into one basket politically is absurd, and not just a little bit insulting.

Your phrase "call themselves Christian" is right.

You're starting to sound like another "do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do" poster here when you start this "you're not a Christian because you don't agree with ME" baloney.

Besides, if you think Jesus would've been a Republican, you are SADly mistaken.

"Conservative values" my heinie.

Well I am sure that conservatives do value your heinie but lets keep this on topic 😉

I would generally agree that the character JC in the NT of the bible comes off as
being decidedly socialist.

But as it's not my religion and he's a fictional character anyway I don't normally
comment. Just chalk it up as another example of the ability of the bible to be the
big book of multiple choice that can be interpreted any way the reader wants.

Yet another reason it's a lousy source of morality.
You spend all your time arguing and fighting bitterly and unendingly over different
interpretations of what it means rather than actually working out what morals actually
work better.

What about politicians like Nancy Pelosi who put her party above the church she says that she is apart of by being an abortion advocate?

I certainly don't think that God is a Republican, but he definately is not a democrat either. God could never sanction the murder of innocent lives no matter the party baloney.

Millions of people disagree (Nancy Pelosi is just one of them) with your biased comment. To speak of a mass of cells that cannot exist outside the womb as being a living human being is quite a stretch to most of them.

The god of the bible not only sanctions but commits genocide.
(the flood... the plagues... ect)

The idea that we should give a damn what this god thinks about
moral issues (even if it did exist) is seriuosly messed up.

And in the USA you are supposed (if you follow the constitution) not
to impose whatever religious veiws you might have on anyone else.

We are talking about a human fetus, which Christians call a baby, and not just a mass of cells in the womb. I believe most Christians even consider the embryo stage to be a baby and not just a mass of cells in the womb, like you do. How many abortions have you had that makes you such an expert as to what is a baby and what is just a mass of cells in the womb?

But you don't consider it pretty despicable to call a human embryo or fetus in the womb just "a mass of cells that cannot exist outside the womb" and something that nobody should be concern about if they are removed and thrown out with the garbage or flushed down the toliet.

It IS just a mass of cells.

That is the reality of the situation.

And yes your position on this issue and the question you asked are both despicable.

even if you find it despicable it is still a disgustingly insensitive question to ask a woman.

how many fully grown up fetus's did you abort when you were in the army rj? or does life only count when its in the womb?
