That God tortures people for eternity with the worst pain imaginable, commits genocide, deliberately made giving birth painful to women and made them subject men, created people for wrath (meaning they were doomed to hell before they were even born) etc., etc.....none of this disproves the existence of God.
It does, however, disprove the Bible's claims about God; e.g ...[text shortened]... es make a case for not believing any of the Bible's claims about god, including that he even exists.
not allow sin, evil, and wickedness to go on and not be dealt with. If God allowed
sin, evil, and wickedness to continue then God wouldn't be Good, Holy, or
Righteous. Instead He would be like men who are okay with those they like doing
wrong, but condemn those they dislike for the same things.
Your problem is you think it is good people encountering a bad God, when it is
bad people encountering a Good God. One that is love, who made away we can
be saved from the eternal fate of all who sin, and are evil and do wickedness. It
is between your ears the reality of what is coming on the day of judgment.
@vivify saidI find it hard to believe that you have read all of the Bible yet fail to see God's love for you.

This exactly describes the god in which you believe: God atones for the sins of those who believe God atoned for their sins, thus allowing "sin, evil, and wickedness to continue".
Instead He would be like men who are okay with those they like doing
wrong, but condemn those they dislike for the same things.
Like you do with Trump vs Clinton.

@kellyjay saidYour argument falls apart at the fact that your god created people "for wrath", meaning they were doomed before they even they were even born.

This means your god's evils have nothing to do with man's wrongdoing; they are simply acts from an evil god.

For more than a millennium, scholars have noticed a curious correlation: Atheists tend to be more intelligent than religious people.
The ancients weren't the only ones to notice this association. Scientists ran a meta-analysis of 63 studies and found that religious people tend to be less intelligent than nonreligious people. The association was stronger among college students and the general public than for those younger than college age, they found. The association was also stronger for religious beliefs, rather than religious behavior, according to the meta-analysis, published in 2013 in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Review.

@vivify saidTaking it up a level of abstraction, the many incoherent and/or nonsensical beliefs of fundamentalist Christians such as KJ, serve to keep rational people from taking any of the Bible seriously.

@thinkofone saidDo you mean to say anyone who takes the Bible seriously is irrational?

@dj2becker saidYou repeatedly draw the most illogical conclusions from what is written.

Irrational fundamentalist (redundant I know) Bible thumpers such as you also serve to keep rational people from taking any of the Bible seriously.
@thinkofone saidIn the GF I recently discussed a book I have been reading called, 'If Cats Disappeared From The World' by Genki Kawamura. A wonderful book only compromised by a poorly written first chapter and the completely unnecessary parts of the book where the cat inexplicably starting speaking.

The Bible suffers from the same malady, any meaningful passages tainted by the absurd.
@thinkofone saidDo you take the words spoken by Jesus seriously? Or is that just part of the show you put on here?
