This is good: it is why we should seek to know the works of the great Saints and writers, and to give credit to them in our ideas.
Moreover, the people who came up with the complex theology are far above us to begin with.
If you want to have someone operate on your leg, you will go to a Doctor; if you want to know the proper interpretation of a passage, you must go to a Holy Father or a theologian who has been sanctioned by the Church to elaborate the meaning.

Of course, I'm this case you make a grave logical error.
My being wrong has nothing to do with the fact that Priests have molested children. There is absolutely zero relation between them.
How would a priest NOT be on a pathway to hell for raping a child when we know what the Bible has said about the innocence of children, sexual sin, etc.
Perhaps I am in error if I am not repenting and confessing my sin, sure, but why would you use this to say a child molesting priest may not be in danger of hell, lol.
