"I have written these things to you that you may know that you have eternal life, to you who believe into the name of the Son of God." (v.13)

Again I say that the beginning of a life of obedience is knowing that you have the life, that you have the Son of God. He is THE eternal life.
The Devil and his evil angels have eternal life too. Surely you must be one of them to be preaching disobedience to the commandments and unrighteousness.

No there is absolutely no passage in the entire word of God telling you that the Devil has eternal life.

Find one.

There is no passage in the Bible telling you that an angel has eternal life.
That is a problem that you have to have God solve in your mind and in your heart - that eternal life is God Himself - Himself - Himself - HIMSELF.

The devil and his angels have what I would call an everlasting EXISTENCE.
But no angel including Lucifer was created to have God indwelling them as the
Divine eternal life of the Triune God.

More could be said.
More needs to be said.
But you don't want me to say it.

I hope you get it from someone someday.

Heaven ? Nobody goes to heaven. Show me where the bible says people to to heaven. You cannot read, understand and faithfully speak the truth as it is stated in the bible, in these elementary matters, how can you do it for complex doctrines?

I have noticed this flaw with you. You promote the teachings of your church over the teachings of the bible. Another example is the ...[text shortened]... our belief. You need to look at yourself and examine yourself and see if you are in your right mind.
Heaven is a place where God is, but the word heaven isn't limited to just that. We do go to God, we will stand before His throne, He is our God and those that belong to Him are His people. This is a side issue compared to your twisting Biblical truth that man isn't condemned before God and it is God who redeems us from our sins by His grace, not by the work of man.

A load of church baloney.
My church has nothing to do with my post, and you have no clue what church I go to to make such a statement. The only thing you have done here is getting dismissive while not defending your twisting of the truth of the gospel, to the destruction of anyone who put their hope in rajk999's version of the gospel.

Rajk999 in desperation can call me whatever derogatory name he wants.
It does nothing to change the truth of the Gospel.

Christ Himself is the embodiment of the Triune God.
And as such Christ is the eternal life.

"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Little children, guard yourselves from idols." (1 John 5;20,21)

Who or what does "THIS" refer to ?

"THIS" equals "Him who is true.
"THIS" also equals "His Son Jesus Christ"
"THIS" also equals "the true God and eternal life".

Anything which usurps the place in our hearts of the true God can be an idol. Therefore John's closing word after reminding the believers in Jesus about Whom they are "IN" -

"Little children, guard yourselves from idols." (v.21) Nothing must take the place in man of God Himself, robbing him of the preeminence of the One in Whom God may place redeemed man in and He in us - Jesus, the embodiment of the Triune God Who is "eternal life."

Well, like I already said, you are entitled to have your own version of bible truths and the Gospel of Christ and change it as you wish to make yourself happy.

Jesus preached the Gospel and still you cannot tell me what that was, and you started a thread about the gospel.

My version of your version is meaningless; the truth of scripture doesn't change simply because of who is quoting it; it means what it says. If you or I are taking some verses and putting our spin on them to promote something the rest of the Bible does not agree with, we are wrong, and clearly, that is shown when what we say does not line up with the whole Bible, not just some quotes while ignoring others. Scripture is unequivocal; we are all sinners; this is true for everyone without exception. That is the starting place for man, guilty before for God. While God sees we could do nothing to justify ourselves, Jesus came and died for us, and He is either our Savior, or He is not; we are either His or we are not. We cannot deny Him and by our conduct still, have Him accept us, He will deny us if we deny Him.

Fine, thats your version of the gospel. I never said it was the truth. It makes you happy and I say go for what makes you happy. If that were in fact the Gospel of Christ you would have quoted clearly where Jesus said all that and you cannot.

The Gospel of Christ is the doctrine preached by Jesus Christ BEFORE he sent out the disciples to preach the Gospel. It is contained in the first 7 Chapters of Matthew and Luke, prior to the point where Jesus said HE PREACHED THE GOSPEL. This is the Gospel preached about the Kingdom of God, and what is necessary to enter that Kingdom, which the disciples were commanded to go out and preach.

It is about the following:
- Belief and Baptism
- Repentance from sin
- Good works and righteous living

This is what Jesus wants and what people will be judged on. Nothing else is the Gospel of Christ.

What churches have done is to ADD a whole lot of other stuff into the Gospel of Christ and twisted it to mean what Jesus never intended. One example is that at the time when the Gospel of Christ was preached by Christ and the disciples, very few people knew that Jesus was going to die for the sins of the world, and that fact was not preached to the masses of the people. Its is true, but it is NOT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. Therefore that piece of knowledge is NOT A REQUIREMENT for entry into the Kingdom of God. If your church preaches that it is then your church is lying and deceiving people.

Rajk999 apparently believes that the Gospel should end at Matthew 7:29 and with Luke 7:50.

The Gospel of Christ is the doctrine preached by Jesus Christ BEFORE he sent out the disciples to preach the Gospel. It is contained in the first 7 Chapters of Matthew and Luke. This is the Gospel preached about the Kingdom of God, and what is necessary to enter that Kingdom, which the disciples were commanded to go out and preach.

But he often betrays this concept by strongly referring to sections of both books beyond their respective 7th chapter.

The parable of the good Samaritan is in Luke 15:11-32.
The teaching of the judgment of the Gentile "sheep" and "goats" is in Matt. 25:31-46.

When Jesus resurrected He commissioned the disciples to go to the nations and teach ALL that He commanded, not SOME. That would include what He taught beyond the first seven chapters of Matthew.

"Go therefore and disciple all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:19,20a)

"All that I have commanded you" even in Matthew would include many things in Matthew 8 - 28.

Jesus in Luke 24:26-27 after His resurrection, reviews the crucial things concerning Himself that the Scriptures taught.

"And He said to them, O foolish and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into His glory? And beginning with Moses and from all the prophets, He explained to them clearly in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself."

The death and resurrection of Jesus were a major part of the Gospel. And they were to be announced for forgiveness of sins.

"And He said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise up from the dead on the third day, And that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

You are witnesses of these things." (Luke 24:46-48)

This summary of what the disciples were to preach followed Jesus proving that it was Himself, alive, and physically raised from the dead. He proved it by eating before them a piece of broiled fish.

"And while they still did not believe for joy and were marveling, He said to them, Do you have anything here to eat? And they handed Him a piece of broiled fish; And He took it and ate before them." (Luke 24:41-43)

What churches have done is to ADD a whole lot of other stuff into the Gospel of Christ and twisted it to mean what Jesus never intended.

It is true that people have added to the Gospel their natural concepts. Beware of anyone taking this excuse to the extreme.

Ie " Jesus didn't rise from the dead physically. They added that to corrupt the New Testament."
Or
Ie. "Jesus did not die a redemptive death to reconcile us to God. Why, that was added latter by those wanting to corrupt the Gospel to push their beliefs."
Or
Ie. " Jesus is not God manifest in the flesh. Those guys added that latter to push their own superstition."

Beware of those pushing the "added to the Gospel" concept too far.

Rajk999 goes on pushing the "bad churches ADDED stuff" rationale to oppose the Gospel.

One example is that at the time when the Gospel of Christ was preached by Christ and the disciples, very few people knew that Jesus was going to die for the sins of the world, and that fact was not preached to the masses of the people. Its is true, but it is NOT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.

John the Baptist knew very early by revelation that Jesus would die as the Lamb of God. He would be the antitype of the sacrificed Passover Lamb of the OT.

"The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)

John knew SOMETHING of Jesus being the reality of the Passover Lamb to give His life to take away the world's sin.

Jesus predicted that He would be executed and rise on the third day. But His disciples AT THE TIME, did not comprehend this.

"Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then the Jews said, This temple was built in forty-six years, and You will raise it up in three days?

But He spoke of the temple of His body. When therefore He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken." (John 2:19-22)

The Gospel is the good news about the Kingdom of God, and Christ Jesus coming as a Savior. One of the many things you seem to be confused about is that you are suggesting that the Gospel is only those things said by Jesus or some version of that. On top of that, you take references that scripture has and tweak the meaning into things that they are not completely suggesting as you portray them. We know they are not as you claim because they absolutely contradict other scripture. We do not get saved because of our works, we will be rewarded for our works, we will be judged by our works, but we are redeemed, saved, by Jesus Christ who takes away the sins of the world.
