No. The answer is that Jesus makes it plain to whom he intends to make it plain.
“Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

In the gospel preached by Jesus during His ministry, He never claimed that He is literally God.

If you believe that this is false, then present a succinct cogent argument.

ToO will claim any words spoken by Jesus in which He identified as God are metaphors.

And the miracles Jesus performed? Metaphors.

Jesus’ Resurrection? Metaphor.

Jesus saying He came down from heaven? Metaphor.

Jesus saying He proceeded and came forth from the Father? Another metaphor.

But when Jesus talked about sheep entering heaven and goats being cast out? He meant that literally! Who doesn’t love a fluffy sheep?

God revealed to Peter who Jesus was. That good enough for me. If you believe that your church doctrine is of God then go for it. It is not what Gid revealed to Peter. It is another doctrine.

John the Baptist was sent by God as well .... that hardly makes him God.

Jesus and the disciples were one too. That hardly makes the disciples equal to Jesus.

“And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

(John 8:23-24)

“Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”

(John 8:42)

In my search of the Old Testament for insight into the identity of Jesus, I came across Zechariah 12:10-11.

"Then I will pour out the spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on ME whom they have 'pierced' and mourn for HIM as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for HIM as for a firstborn son ...[text shortened]... ng, and uses the words ME and HIM when only one person is pierced.

Just wanted to share that.
On the right track.

I get it you don't like me.

But please, for the love of God, stop mischaracterizing not only my posts, but me as well.

When you twist what people say, well, that's lying. Stop lying. If you're going to hyper-criticize what I say, then make sure that what you are criticizing is what I actually said. In this snippet alone, I count three outright lies and three exaggerations.

Yeah, I'd call that over-reacting.

Look, just forget I said anything.

Congratulations, you're now finally successful at quashing a voice of dissent just because it's just not worth it to talk to you anymore because of all your lying.

Go on, now, start another thread where you cry about people not liking you.

Try not to make too much out of things like this.

If you do your homework, you'll find that more than a few of the translations of the OT in Christian bibles are suspect and there are often issues with verses being taken out of context.

In general, take in Judaism's perspective on OT passages as well as the Christian before drawing any conclusions. ...[text shortened]... www.sefaria.org/Zechariah.12.10?lang=bi&with=all&lang2=en

Reads very differently, doesn't it?
What a hypocritical post.

Very sad.
One question: What does the Bible say about people who speak without knowing what it is they're speaking about?

Hint: Jesus called them hypocrites.
