He's digging his own grave.
Actually, your debate technique (pretending to initiate a religious debate while planning to bring up Bush all along) is what is old and stale.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageI think it is both. Bush is appealing to Christians to protect his personal financial interests in oil and military equipment. Bush also thinks he has God on his side, making him blind to the deaths of tens of thousands of people in Iraq, including his own soldiers, and the impacts on all their loved ones.
OK. Do you think he really believes the Good Book or is it a case of having gotten into bed with the Loonies?

If an angel is a messenger, cruise missiles are the angels of Bush.

... Don't care though. ... I look to the future.
I am saved and am going to heaven. If you give your life to Christ you will to.
i think people should not be selfish ... (i do not claim you are selfish ... but you should not focus on this reason or you may become selfish).
i assume: in the future bad things will happen ... and this is bad.
people may die, or be raped, or go to hell, or have their species extincted .... you should want to make the future better ... it is not sufficient to sit back and say: i don't care because i will go to heaven.
in fact i can just imagine my grandmother telling me: the guards at the gates of heaven sort out those who believed just so they could enter heaven, and reject them.

And there WAS light, and Bush called it 'Shock and Awe', and it was good.
