I've heard of Art Bell's radio show.
Sometimes these debates come down to semantics other times,as in Lord Sharks case , they dont.
I suspect that if they have the power to be seen or not then they also have the power to clean up the evidence after themselves.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that.
Just for the record, I haven't said anything to imply that.
My uncle does sculpting with huge slabs of marble. He showed me a way to lift up a piece of marble that weighed a 1000 lbs. We basically just slowly lifted using long pieces of wood almost like log cabin fashion. We eventually had a 1000lbs. Marble slab sitting 3' or 4' off the ground. He said this is how the ancients lifted large objects. If you have 1000's of workers (slaves in the case of the Egyptians) anything can be accomplished. They are finding that the ancients were more advanced than we think. I know History channel has a show about this.

I'm not implying anything just fishing to see whether anyone else has picked up on this. This person I heard ot from had actually been to the pyramids and commented on the apparent precision with which the stones were put in place.
And for your information I do have an open mind and can see the folly of my ways. Sometimes I'm not quite sure what is dis-information.
I guess the question is how did the Egyptians build those pyramids? I don't think Karoly is totally out of line I've heard of the alien intervention concept from somewhere. I guess the assumption is that how did they build them with limited technology? Maybe the assumption is wrong however. I think some of the building feats of the ancient world can't be matched even with todays technology. Somewhere in the Americas there are huge characters that can only be seen from the sky. They kinda look like astronauts or aliens. Who did these & why? If there were no flying machines than who was meant to see these?

Where we disagree is on things like the level of careful investigation required to test ideas and about how these investigations need to be conducted.
So asking questions is never dumb, but some of our tentative answers might be.
And I do have feelings...sniff...sob...flounce..

I didn't like the way this thread was going.
I dont want to be judged for my outlandish views.
I'm just like a simplistic christian when it comes to writing positive stuff about spirituality. Jesus is here! All that crap.
You have certainly made me re-think my approach...hmm....

Does the claimant know for sure what tools were available and how accurate they were? How does he know? Surely one of the key pieces of evidence would be the products of the architects and the products quite clearly and undeniably show that someone had stone-cutting tools that could cut that precisely at that time.

So, somebody was cutting the stone. That somebody possibly did not leave his tools lying around for us to find (according to your claimant). Why would we think that somebody is alien and not human simply because he hid / destroyed his tools after work? Remember that the absence of tools is the only evidence presented here.

Yes,Granted, this does not mean they were built by e.t.'s.

Apparently there are pictures that can be seen from a certain height, then there are pictures that can be see from going higher.
Mainly pictures of animals as I recall.
There are no mountains or hills nearby to view these "pictures".
So what would be a conventional explanation?
Originally posted by menace71Probably God or their version of Him, maybe they thought the dead, were supposed to see them, they were built by slaves, using smooth logs to move the huge parts, probably using some kind of step/pulley system to get them up there or took it up in smaller parts.
