Yea, who likes big titties? I find these to be a spiritual experience.

I tried to start an interesting discussion regarding whether Mary's Immaculate Conception (a theory in which God intervened to render her sinless) precluded her having free will, vis a vis the tree of knowledge in the Garden being necessary for Adam and Eve to have free will. This would be a very interesting discussion, regarding a new aspect of free will that hasn't previously been discussed. Alas, nobody else gave a rat's ass, so I think we need to look to something besides free will to remedy our lack of interesting topics.

The Reverend may be on to something.

    Mary the robot-vessel?
    lol
Brood mare for the King, like Princess Di.
What is the role of women in religion?
    Is it sadly lacking?
    Are religions (mainstream) sexist?
Well, there's sex and religion for a topic.
Maybe religion is boring after all, as boring as church, hard pews, the pastor going on and on about some guy who lived a long time ago in a savage time in a place most of us would probably bypass.

    Song of Solomon 5:10
"My lover is dark and dazzling, better than ten thousand others!"

Is this verse literally true? If so, mustn't this woman have been with over ten thousand men in order to have a valid basis for this comparison?

I'm not questioning the literal truth of the first clause, for it is well known that a single brotha makes a better lover than ten thousand Jews. I'm questioning only this woman's basis for the literal comparison.

    how about?

    jesus nailed

the number of nails used(good to argue about as there is no real proof)
and was he nailed in the palms or in the wrist
as a meat cutter i know well that its though the carpus
a nail though the palm will hardly support the weight of a severed arm
let alone the whole carcuss i mean body

(EDIT) i have been told about the severed arm by a friend
    its not from personal experience

I would be very interested in this topic. I have come across similar discussions in various readings I have done about the Turin shroud.

The nature of the Turin shroud would be a good topic as well.

    true dotor
the big problem with the shroud ,is that one expert says its a fake painted on the fabric and the next expert says its a real impression made from funerary perfumes and oils and the divine radiation from the transfiguration process
like anything its a matter of faith and belief similar to these other artifacts or fabled relics, the nails, the spear of destiny,
the holy grail, the skull of adam at the base of the cross
all may or maynot have been there at the execution of jesus
i do know the nails were there( i guess they didnt have staples that big yet..had to be nails ..more likely spike sized nails,i would think)
the spear, or more accurately. lance, was there according to scriptures,
but the cross and nails i think are a gimme to a crucifiction.

I have an idea. We all know each others point of view by now. We know who believes in God and who doesn't. Could we start a thread, where everyone has to switch roles? If you believe, you must argue against God, and if you don't believe you must argue for the existence of God.

So, in my first post I would declare (to those who comes in from the cold) that I am an atheist. Then, in the rest of my posts, I would have to argue for the existence of God. You guys would do the same. First declaring your stance on the matter, and then argue against it.

[Edit: Well, we can skip that declaration part since clearly, within the thread, whatever you argue for you are in reality against. Sorry about that one. 🙂 ]
