That's all well and good but those bones were from people who were no bigger than the largest humans of today, smaller in fact. I think he said one of them was judged to be 7 foot 7 inches. We have basketballers bigger than that now.
This just goes to show that the Holy Bible could be true aand there may have really been giants as tall as Goliath and his brothers. 😏

And what difference does it make if we call cats dogs?

This is liberating!!! We can use any words we like to mean anything!

Now I see how to make sense of your posts RJ

The difference is that cats are not dogs. Monkeys are apes and men and women are humans, not apes. I do not care if the evolutionists say otherwise, because I believe the word of God. God is not an ape and He did not make a monkey out of me and I am not going to let any evolutionist's book do it either.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath#Goliath.27s_height

the oldest manuscripts — the Dead Sea Scrolls text of Samuel, the first-century historian Josephus, and the fourth century Septuagint manuscripts — all give his height as "four cubits and a span", 6 feet 9 inches (2.06 m)

That sounds like the Greek Heroes who were half man, half god.

"Nephilim" means "the fallen ones". It may have something to do with Philistines/Palestinians who were originally Greek polytheists. Their name in Ezekiel 32:27 is Nephilim also I believe.

I don't think that makes sense. That is not tall enough to be Goliath.

Monkeys are not apes.

Man is an ape.

Nothing to do with religion, the bible or what I believe.
Just definitions.

The "Nephilim" were fallen angels who were spirit but left their "domain" and took on a fleshy form. They "took" human woman probably against their will and had sexual relations with them....the offspring were Caananites, and many other ites. Joshua, David, etc., were commanded to completely destroy these people. They were not entirely human, they could not be rehabilitated. Many people today, not understanding what was going on, think God was cruel in commanding their destruction.
There is much to study in the bible. Much research, if one wants to uncover some of these truths. Proverbs 25:2 is saying that there are many hidden truths in the bible. God does not make it easy to uncover these truths. He wants people who are passionate in seeking Him. Salvation is easy, but a person wanting to know what God is about, has to be a workman of His Word. I am not saying I am anywhere close to where I want to be, but I am much better than I was yesterday...

Edit: someone will say," but the flood destroyed them all." They came back. Also, in some places they are called Raphaim, but you will see the word the dead, or something else...you will need a bible concordance..

why don't you post there then, and see how long your BS stays up before it's taken down.

The issue is the validity of anything posted there. Obviously they allow and encourage posts from anyone. I doubt seriously that the founders/owners/whomever have the time and/or resources to research every bit of minutia that gets posted. Unless something violates some constraint, I would imagine one could post that the sky is purple and inhabited by little green men named Bob and the article would remain. To accept the validity of something like wikipedia as a truthful factual source of information is the depth of stupidity.

Maybe I should go in and change that part about men being apes. We are clearly not apes or monkeys. Monkeys are more like apes than men. I think apes are just monkeys without tails. Should I write that in the wiki article?
