Yes, the idea that space has these kinds of properties is just some weird made-up idea that scientists trot out to explain other weird ideas. Whereas the idea that some magical sky fairy somehow created the world; somehow made man from dirt, woman from a rib; etc; etc; these ideas are not weird or made-up at all.

That's right.

Not at all. You expect everyone to be a mind reader and know what you mean when you don't actually say what you mean.

So when God created the heavens and the earth, He created
the clock to tell time and in effect created time.

So how can you (or God) know whether or not he existed before the heavens and the earth if there was no clock to tell ...[text shortened]... st you say there was no time before the creation, now you say there was time. Which is it?
This is basically what Stephen Hawkins said almost verbatim

Actually Space or void still has substance and according to Einstein space and time are interwoven. Mass / Gravity warps (Stretches) Space and this was proven. This does not militate against a creator however.

Some see the laws behind the universe as the be all end all and some believe in an intelligence behind the laws

I must disagree with Einstein if he said such a thing. I respect Einstein as
a great scientist; but maybe you are misunderstanding him. We have plenty
of space around us all the time and no one has ever proven that mass /
gravity warps (stretches) space. THIS IS ONLY A THEORY LIKE THE THE
THEORY OF EVOLUTION.

Well I happen to agree with Hawkins. If time started with the universe, then it is illogical to talk of a before (or a creator).

And a theory is the ultimate stage of an idea in science, so using the word 'only', only shows your ignorance of scientific terminology.
Your view of space however is based entirely on faith. Did God tell you about it or is it your own invention?

I am not an inventor and I am only interested in common sense terminology.

Common sense terminology only applies to a very small part of creation; it falls apart at the macro amd microlevels of matter.

You should not limit yourself so - and if there is a god (lol) you are dishonouring his creation by not considering the wonder of it all.

Maybe that is a problem with all theists ... they fail to appreciate how wonderful and amazing the universe really is and through ignorance have to make up superstitious nonsense to explain fairly trivial phenomena (such as rainbows and stars).

Well then stop talking about science because you not only don't understand the terminology, but don't want to understand it.
When you take a scientific term and use your own interpretation of the word (because you are not interested it its real meaning) and then make statements about it (such as saying 'it is only a theory'😉 then you are only making yourself look foolish.
But worst of all, you don't even understand enough English to realise that 'theory' has several meanings even in non-scientific contexts.

If you really appreciated how wonderful and amazing the universe really is
you would give credit to the creator of it all by honoring Him.

I know enough english and science to know a "theory" is not "fact".

Nobody claimed it was. You show your ignorance of the word by trying to differentiate the two.
A theory is not 'only' a theory. It is also not 'less than a fact'. It is something else.
But I wont bother going through all the different meanings of the word in various contexts, because you are not interested unless its "common sense terminology", but you will never know whether or not it is "common sense terminology" until you learn it.
