You may say down with creationism, but where did you come from?
Who made you?
Is there something empirically about you that is all evolution?????
If so, then you are a creature that is still evolving (per Darwin).
So, what features have you evolved lately???? Hmmmmm?
Creation is the belief in one true God. Pray for Him to become
your own personal Savior ...[text shortened]... Genesis in the Bible?
You might come to different conclusions.

Evolution does not happen within any one individual's lifetime. Evolutionary changes take many many many lifetimes. So, no I haven't evolved lately - idiot.
Do you understand the nature of science?
Clearly not, since you ask us to treat one single text as a source of all that's right and true. Science cannot do this. It doesn't work that way. I have read Genesis yes. Doesn't particularly inspire me I must say. In fact, as stories go, it's a pretty poorly written one - God must've been having a crap day that day when he inspired those pesky Jewish writers.
Originally posted by NosracI could turn around and point out the huge body of physical evidence that puts the planet at 4.53 billion years old. I could point out that the moon has been dated to roughly the same age. I could point out that the creation story in genesis is wrong (such as the sun (6 billion years old) being created before land plants (400 million years old)). I could point out that land animals evolved before birds, which, again, genesis gets wrong.
Prove me wrong, using an NIV Bible or a KJV Bible.
Go ahead...make my day.
Still, I doubt you'll listen.
All creationists should be lead out into the wilderness given nothing but a frozen husky to gnaw at. For entertainment they can beat each other over the head with the bible- it will probably be the most stimulating experience in their life.
Alternatively they could just be shot- I recommend this option.

And this from the man who believes that the world is 7,000 years old!
You cannot, despite your attempts, drag science down that way. Science isn't about personal beliefs based on gut feelings - it's about the weight of evidence. Something you seem unfamiliar with. Science, unlike religion, is not opinion.
to things that cannot be proven call them facts, the difference between
you and I is I'm honest about what I cannot prove, you delude
yourself by saying because of how your reached your belief through
science, it isn't a belief. I'm not dragging science down, I'm calling
your belief system, a belief system, and that bugs you!

The word "belief" means something completely different for theologians and scientists. When a scientist says that he believes something it isn't in the same way that a theist believes in god. It's based on physical evidence. It's not about belief, it's about a logical interpretation of the evidence, nothing more, nothing less.

However, I've debated this point with you before, and I know I'm getting nowhere. I'm going to stop at this point.

Or at least, is your memory completely gone.
I've answered this question about 10 times on one of your completely inane threads.
Natural selection is not a force!
It is a process!
My apologies for anthropomorphising natural selection (if I did) it's a fault we humans sometimes have in trying to understand things and make things simpler for us - we put them into terms that themselves are simpler.
I'll try to remember this next time I converse with you aliens from Planet StickYourHeadInABucketOfSand.

that you think believing something that you cannot prove is
some how different, because of the source, it is still a matter
of belief and faith. You, I believe would love to think that
your beliefs are of some higher standard than a theist, and
depending on the topic maybe, but the bottom line is, there are
somethings you must accept, without being able to know for
sure your right, you simply cannot know without a doubt your
right. You have to believe your logic is without flaw, you must
think you have all the necessary pieces of the puzzle to connect
the dots, you just simply believe what it is you accept as truth is!
The universe proclaims God in my opinion, the same universe you
seem to think disproves God, but we are both looking at the
same universe, you believe your right?

have seen this process throughout life anywhere else? Within
living systems as well?
Kelly
You are just plain wrong again Kelly I am sorry to say. Science is not in the business of proving things at all it simply generates testable and falsifiable hypotheses. Proofs are present in mathematics in idealised situations. As I said previously your fumbling about in an area you plainly know approaching nothing about is harming your religion more than the science you appear to feel learned enough to comment on. I refrain from interpreting scripture or talking on theology or any subject for that matter I dont know a great deal about it whereas sadly you feel able to comment ignorantly on any range of topics without adequete schooling. Intelligence is definable as a mind capable of change and the reverse is true also unfortunately in your case.
