    "You've been reading Robbie's drivel, haven't you?"
    --Suzianne

I think these two quotes follow seamlessly. Because if you've read almost any amount of this forum, you'd know that Robbie is probably the one "professed" Christian attacking the most other Christians in this forum by far. He attacks any and all Christians simply because they are not Jehovah's Witnesses, and Robbie has been taught that these are Christian in name only. Clearly, most of Robbie's posts in this regard are drivel, and so I was merely saying that she must have been reading Robbie's drivel, which is where the majority of the "Christian-on-Christian" action is in this forum.

I'm not really too "concerned" with Robbie's drivel in this forum, since it is widely seen as such for a reason. It's pretty clear where he finds his motivation. Just like RJH, Robbie doesn't do Christianity any favors. But on occasion, I find that I do have to take a minute here and there to separate myself from the fundamentalists, like RJH and Robbie, so that I don't get lumped in with them (even though the atheist faction here doesn't seem to want to differentiate very finely at all).

Your assumption that I have a great deal of beliefs in common with robbie carrobie and the Jehovah's Witnesses is far from the truth. I am very aware of what the JWs believe because I studied with them for awhile. And their beliefs vary from Orthodox Christian Doctrine so much that I refer to them as a heretical cult and not Christian, even though sometimes they wish to be called by His name.

I certainly don't agree with your method of compromising the clear teachings from Moses and Jesus from the scripture to compromise with the lies of evilution and your political views. 😏

It is not true that I believe in a completely laissez-faire capitalism, where the rich could enjoy ruthlessly exploiting the poor. I believe in the capitalism of personal responsibilty as Christ taught.

I believe in the kind of Capitalsim discribe in the following article:

    Jesus Christ is a capitalist

We discover in the New Testament, in Luke Chapter 12:13-14:
“Someone in the crowd said to Him [Jesus Christ], ‘Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.’ But He said to him, ‘Man, who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over you?’”

In just one verse, we see that God rejects the left-wing “Jesus Christ supported socialism” heresy. When Jesus was asked to support redistribution of wealth – to tell one brother to share the family inheritance with the other – Jesus refused. Jesus would never support government or a church stealing property by force to give it to a stranger. He would not even intervene for one man to share his own family’s wealth with his own brother.

Obviously, Jesus would sternly warn the brother hoarding wealth against greed, dishonesty and defrauding his family. But Jesus preached to the person in front of him about how to live right. Jesus was never teaching one person what is wrong with someone else (except to clarify how the listener should behave by contrast).

One truth shines out from the Bible: Jesus spoke to the individual, never to government or government policy. Jesus was a capitalist, preaching personal responsibility, not a socialist.

•By “socialism,” we must understand “theft.” A socialist government uses brute force, backed up by guns, to steal property from some people to give it to others.

By capitalism, we mean individual initiative under freedom, with the right to use what people own and to reap the fruits of one’s labor and initiative. Capitalist business must necessarily benefit society, because private businesses have no power to force anyone to buy their products or services. The consumer is king. Consumers won’t buy unless the purchase benefits them. To reinforce that central pillar of capitalism, laws against lying and fraud are proper and necessary. The consumer must be able to know and understand what he is buying and what it truly costs. The same applies to employment.

•We reject crony capitalism and monopolies. That is what the Vatican obviously believes capitalism means. When corrupt governments are entangled with businesses, then transactions are no longer voluntary. Crony capitalism is what most people experience in Francis’ native Argentina, throughout Latin America and much of the Third World. The benefit to society is absent without informed consent.

Yet Jesus specifically supported the concept of capitalism. In Matthew 25:15-18, Jesus teaches what the (His) Kingdom of God is like:
“To one he gave five talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey. Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents. In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more. But he who received the one talent went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.”

Jesus is clearly using money as a metaphor for making the most of all of life’s opportunities, abilities and moments. Yet in teaching us how we should live, Jesus agrees that a man who traded with investment capital and earned profits is praised and rewarded by his master, a type for God, and given increased authority. Most striking is what Jesus says to the man who was too afraid to take a chance with the one talent of gold entrusted to him. Jesus endorses the concept of earning interest for profit.
Matthew 25:27-28: “Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.”

I do not interpret all the scriptures as literal. I interpret it as it is written, for example, I interpret history as history, and poetry as poetry, and prophecy as prophecy. And I am not an extremist, but a moderate. 😏

In the same way that Bernard Matthews is a moderate when it comes to turkey preservation.

Did Suzianne say that RJH is just like Robbie or not? Did Suzianne say RJH is a fundamentalists like Robbie or not? Since Duchess64 has so much superior reading skills than RJH, then why doesn't Duchess64 tell us all in simple terms what Suzianne is saying in the above quote?

I have never claimed I wanted to do like Hitler and put all Jehovah's Witnesses in a concentration camp until they renounce their faith. If Duchess64 has evidence of such a comment then why doesn't Duchess64 reference that thread so all can see who is the real liar. 😏

I am not here to try to make Christianity look appealing to non-Christians. If that is what she wants to do, then I don't see that she is doing such a good job of it. She has made no more converts to her brand of Christianity than I have. So what?

Another thing, she said that she does not want to be lumped in with all the fundamentalists like RJH and Robbie. That implies we have the same beliefs. I am sure Robbie would not want to be lumped in with all the fundamentalists that believe in the Trinity either. And she never bothered to define the fundamentalists beliefs. It is very possible that I might not want to be lumped into her kind of fundamentalism either. 😏

It matters not if Jesus is real or not.................

However what truly matters is, ............ is the doctrine in the Bible true or false because Jesus did not write it.

The doctrine found in the Bible was fabricated and put together by the Kings chosen men who where womanisers and intoxicators and meat eaters............................about 400 years A.D.

Well you have something in common with the Muslims, becasue that is basically what they teach too. I would speculate that both of your religions are a distortion of the true religion and were both influenced by Satan the devil. 😏
