Oh I'm sorry! I'm from the Netherlands and my English is not brilliant that's true. But I'll be happy to hear REAL arguments against my point (off course if you can find any, taken in account your awful last one :-S).

I think I must make my point somewhat more clear.
I think the bible is a book, written by men. It contains valuable information which could be followed while trying to live your life in the "right" way. Right of course is a matter of opinion.
The problem only is that the bible also contains numerous pieces of text which I really do not agree with.
But the real problem is not whether we should use the bible or not, but how to actually live our lives. And I don't need a bible to know that we should just be nice to eachother instead of arguing all the time. The bible actually makes us argue, for instance about homosexuality. Oh and how many religions use the same bible and still fight all the time?

So I don't deny that the bible is widely recognized and respected. I just deny that it is a real authority. Many people use the wrong book while trying to accomplice things.

Ah that's good. I won't deny you the right to believe that you were made by god, allthough I believe something else, and I'm glad to hear you think about the things in the bible, and admit that it's not all true there!
