I think the bible is a book, written by men. It contains valuable information which could be followed while trying to live your life in the "right" way. Right of course is a matter of opinion.
The problem only is that the bible also contains numerous pieces of text which I really do not agree with.
But the real problem is not whether we should use the bible or not, but how to actually live our lives. And I don't need a bible to know that we should just be nice to eachother instead of arguing all the time. The bible actually makes us argue, for instance about homosexuality. Oh and how many religions use the same bible and still fight all the time?
