If you are convinced by just one billionth of the truth, then i'm afraid to say you are weak minded.

And my neighbour is convinced that Jesus was a prophet and not the messiah. Does the fact he is convinced make his belief about Jesus a "universal truth"?

No, I believe it is only his own perspective that relates to universal truth.

He'd like to deny that, but would then have to accept that my perspective that God doesn't exist is also universally true. (As I am no less convinced than he is of my position).

Well China is the biggest producer of gold in the world so don't go around saying that there is only a speck there.

No I am not convinced by one billionth of the truth, but by the truth. It is weak minded to say you know that God doesn't exist. I would be more accurate to say with the limited knowledge you have you believe God doesn't exist.

Well your neighbors also claim that Jesus never died on a cross, whereas many historians claim that he did. So if they are wrong about that they may be wrong about a lot of things.

With the limited knowledge you have you cannot possibly know that there is no evidence for the existence of God, on the other hand with the limited knowledge that I have it is possible to know of evidence for the existence of God.

Many historians report that Christians believed Jesus was crucified and many historians also report that many Muslims believed Jesus was not.

Muslims who lived 500 years later as compared to Christians who lived during the time of Jesus.

What difference does it make? The historians you are citing were only reporting on what certain people believed.

Which historians am I citing?

Nothing was written about Jesus during the time of Jesus. What was written was written decades later by people trying to establish a post-Jewish cult of personality and that is what your "many historians" have written about.

And you know this how? Are you saying the evidence that Jesus was not crucified is more overwhelming than the evidence that he was?

Who knows? Perhaps you are even referring to the writers of the New Testament?

Ouch, that's poor reasoning.
