Does anyone on this forum actually know what their purpose in life is? If you are spiritual, does your spirituality impact your purpose?
I personally have not figured out my purpose in life, and was just curious if anyone would care to comment.

Boku no ikigai wa Kohii desu.

If I'm correct, you are an atheist, who is willing to believe in God, if evidence would surface.
But now....without God, what's your purpose Ghost?

My dog gets up in the morning without any thought of purpose. He exists, sleeps, enjoys his squeaky Mickey Mouse. He seems content with that.

Originally posted by chaney3Of course. As a theist having 'a purpose' (or there being a reason for your existence) is intrinsic to your worldview.

As an atheist I am not so hung up on the notion of 'purpose.' I'm not entirely sure how i got here or what i am meant to do now that i am here. (If anything at all). I could easily say man's purpose is to reproduce or that my personal purpose is to ensure the happiness and well being of my family.
I suspect though you'd also find that lame. 🙂
