We beat Mexico 2-0 earlier this year.

Hopefully we will meet up with Mexico again in the Gold Cup finals.

We would play Canada in the semi-finals if both teams win in the first round.

Canada is playing well this year.

Our other wins have come versus:

Ecuador 3-2
China 4-1
Denmark 3-1

+ the three shuouts in the Gold Cup

8 team elimination playoff. The winner is the Gold Cup champion.

Say Canada and US square off in the semis, the winner goes on to meet the winner of the lower bracket, possibly Mexico or Honduras.

The winner is champ for the next four years and gets an automatic bid into the World Cup (I think.) So, for Canada, a win is huge.

I though you were talking about the World Cup and I was thinking World Cup and Canada, haha!

Gold Cup is basically the championship for north america, central america, and the carribean.
