Other interesting match ups this week end.

Notre Dame and Meatchicken. Since Notre Dame have turned into the sisters of charity of late I pick Meatchicken.

Oh wait, I guess that is the only interesting match up this week. My bad.

Which "near school" is Ohio State beating up on this weekend?

Yep, you got Akron and then Toledo. They might as well add Texas.

Just watched my team (michigan) pull out as exciting game as you"ll ever see. Michigan certainly is far from a good team and I know i'm in the minority on this but without a playoff the regular of college football is as meaningful as it possibly could be.

Holy Toledo....that one was close.....or maybe Toledo is a powerhouse.

Granted Texas stunk up the field in the first half against BYU,
but the dominated them in the second half and salvaged a win.

BTW, no team in the country is playing as many true freshman as Texas is.

Boise plays who they can play as I have documented on this board many times. Georgia's a top 25 team and a legit contender in the SEC.
Georgia? NOT.

As I said, they are a mediocre SEC team - at best.

Whatever. Boise could knock off Alabama and people like you would spout the same crap.

Georgia went down to the wire with #10 South Carolina a week after being dominated by Boise State. Last night, the Broncos blew out a Toledo team on the road; the same team that almost won at #17 Ohio State.

Sorry, Boise could NOT knock off Alabama.

That is a pipe dream.

Neither could Utah in the 2009 Sugar Bowl according to "experts" like you.

To be fair, I didn't think that Utah would win that game either. But I wouldn't rate the chances of a win by an excellent mid-major like Utah 2008 or Boise State 2011 against a top SEC team either year as "a pipe dream".

You, of all people, realize that upsets happen all the time.
They are not indicative of a team's true talent level, as much as they are an anomaly.
On any given day, any team can beat any team...that is the fact.
The odds, determine the likelihood of that outcome.

You can defy the odds occasionally, but you won't repeatedly.

Could Boise win a game against Alabama?........Yes, of course they could.
Is it likely that they could beat Alabama?.....No it is not.
