But once someone who's already in the HOF turns out to have been a blatant juicer, a large can of worms will hav ...[text shortened]... ple from the HOF - and maybe certain other cheaters like Gaylord Perry could then be cast out.
It sounds like a nice compromise but what exactly or perhaps it would be easier for you to tell me who exactly is a cheater but not a blatant cheater? Is someone like Andy Pettitte who tells a baloney story how he only used performance enhancers twice and did not like it, is he a non-blatant cheater? I'm a huge Yankee fan but his story is completely untrue but people buy into it simply because they like the guy. I think a much cleaner standard is if you cheat your stats are struck for Hall of Fame purposes and guys who are enshrined are honored because their achievements are honorable.

After this year, MLB will be changing the Cy Young award's name to the Roy Halladay award.

Based on his winning the award once that is truly a great idea.

There are places where they will legally take bets (and your money) for having such foolish beliefs. I am fairly confident that Halladay and everyone else will not be 26-4 in 2010.

Halladay won't keep the pace and if the season ended right now he might not even win the Cy. There are so many NL pitchers having insane starts who won't continue at this rate either.

Jiminez who has 6 wins also with an even better 0.93 ERA. Linecum (has 64 strikouts) and despite his back to back Cy Young awards won't keep up the pace. Tyler Clippard has six wins, 0.76 ERA and 1.01 WHIP. Wainright and Zito are also having great years.

Halladay is a truly great pitcher (as his 8-4 record with a 1.96 ERA would indicate) but for this crazy prediction to be right he will have to go 18-0 the rest of the season.
