So the Mods will be churning through TK's games, making sure they're nicely clean.

The 2011 event will start whenever, I guess. Probably this coming month. Question is: who will bother entering?

Not many so far.

Maybe I will need to revise my vote for the number of bannings from the 17 I had guessed.

Based on current entries I think that my revised vote will be 1/20th of the total number entered.

There is one dodgy looking person already entered 😛

Gee, just because someone's rating goes up about 500 points in 3 weeks doesn't make them "dodgy", does it?

I tentatively entered but will be watching to see how many blatant cheats are in before deciding whether I'll actually compete this year.

Tournament 10998 Exactly, and others need to do some homework as well. Don't leave it up to no1m- and a few others to suffer the slings and arrows....

Now, I've just had a look at this Green Clubs and some 3-4 weeks ago he was getting a hiding from his 1400-1500 contemporaries. Then, after a brain transplant from a GM he's now defeating 1800, a couple of 1900, and not to mention the 2000 win and a draw, rated players. WTF ?

How obvious does it need to be ? I'm going to do a Tom Hanks here ( Saving Private Ryan ) and I quote " Well, there's no easy way to say this so I'm just gonna say it...". This aforementioned entrant in the 2011 Championship is a blantant engine user and a cheat.

There, I've said it. No doubt I'll get a suspension but it needs to be said.

Sorry no1m- and adramf- but I don't have your patience.

I helped that player on his way up, but unfortunately I played so poorly I can't testify whether I was playing a person or not. 😞

Not that I should give a rats arse about what a 20 day non-sub lowlife newbie thinks, if I do get another 515 days then it's well worth it, just to rid this site of another engine using cheat. That's been my position from day 1, and it will continue, as long as 'skeeter' is allowed on this site.

He was rated 1200 back then ( Aug. '10 ) so in just less than six months he's gone from absolute patzer to a skilled 2100 rated player. Remarkable.

Several of his other early games are of similar quality.

This "player" requested clan membership not so long ago.. looked at his graph.. looked at his games.. he will be banned sooner or later..
