Aye, but I suspect a little talk about metainertia at the beginning of your workshop would be a good introduction, as long as the recursion bottoms out in time for you to write it.
Yes, metainertia comes in quite naturally. I remember there was some of that in the workshop about inertia I attended many years ago (you read the paper, I think). I got one step further today, e-mailing the planning committee to ask whether there's a possibility to get some instruments for the workshop, which will influence the way I set up the whole thing.

What about metacats in the prose competition?

Everthing gets very dark when I think about the dark things they lead to.

Okay people, the rules are thus:

1) Submissions must be no more than 500 words, 1 entry per person.
2) They should be sent to fattytron@hotmail.com titled 'PROSE COMP'
3) They MUST concern the following brief: "A cat may lead to darker things, but a bird is just too flighty". Interpretation is up to you.
4) Deadline for submission is Thursday 3rd Ap ...[text shortened]... commended list to notify all. Good luck everyone and go get those creative juices flowing!

I can't work with this material. Let's just have a bump competition instead.

I thought you'd welcome such an abstract brief. Quit your jibber-jabber and get your pen to paper, mister!

It isn't abstract enough. You should at least have used metacats.

I had a go the other night and ended up writing "A cat may lead..." all over my desk with a marker, "The Shining"-style. I do have an idea now, though, and will hopefully get to it this weekend. You will take the piss, nobody will give it votez, but Noodles will proclaim it a work of literary genius and that is all that matters 😉.

If you had submitted a screenshot of the afgorementioned desk I would have voted highly for it.

Your bird of logic escaped. If I'd proclaim it a work of literary genius, I'd certainly vote for it, too.
