There's a shortage of workers in the US, not a glut. And shutting down plants isn't a way to increase employment; Trump's policies have already caused a loss of manufacturing jobs in the US without deliberately targeting certain industries because he doesn't like their products (this plant produced electric cars and batteries which Trump is trying to sabotage).
