One glass of alcohol a day or in two days doesn't hurt anyone, unless you're a pregnant women. It can hurt the unborn child.

Cannabis is poison in any quantity. Same goes for tobacco.

What if you're an alcoholic? Then it can be completely devastating.

If you're going to allow certain poisons, why disallow others?

This is entirely old news and even if I had not known this beforehand I would still say big deal.

Alcohol is far more dangerous and yet it is a popular institution which will never be banned. In the words of the Streets, government spending on secondary education pales into insignificance when compared to the money the NHS spends on patching up lary drunk people at the weekend.

Cannibis is a drug it does bad things to you. So do pollution, stress, accidents etc. Cannibis at least is enjoyable in the majority. Drugs are responsible for some of the greatest leaps in, music, art, literature and goodwill to men.

Now where did I put my Rizla.....

An alcoholic shouldn't drink at all.

Sure why not ? One lump of rat-poison a day, keeps the doctor away ...... 😛

Have you ever plaid a serious game of chess while stoned as an applepie and analysed it afterwards, I mean the game of chess ?

..... and what was the result ?

Actualy one of the strongest chess players at my chess club sometimes smokes weed against the stress. And it seems to work. I have also heard about grandmaster using it!

I have done so many times and I can safely say that I play just as well under the effects as I do sober. However, I am not a very good chess player anyhow, obviously if I was really serious about it I would probably not smoke at all.

I don't see your point either way, I smoke for pleasure, I play for pleasure.

I play 500% better chess when stoned than when I'm drunk.

You start seeing mad patterns, and attacking sequences, with loads of different refutations.

When I'm pissed, I just think 'I'm ard as nails, and this pawn move here is absolutely brilliant. No doubt'

You should try it Ivan.

[EDIT] That 500% quoted above is comparing drunken and stoned chess. Not drunken/stoned versus sober.

Why are u so anti Cannabis? Is it because the bible promotes alcohol consumption, but doesn't mention Mary Jane?

If consumption of Mary Jane is so bad, why did the Blessed Lord God our Saviour, place it absolutely everywhere? And why did he create it to be a plant which can grow in any type of weather/soil conditions? Are you saying that us mere humans, including yourself, know better than the Blessed Lord God our Saviour?

Did he do it as a test? Is it like the forbidden fruit?

[EDIT] See, this post is proof of the effects of alcohol. I'm aggressive and confrontational. I'm sure if I was after a few spliffs rather than beers, I'd probably just say 'whatever? Peace.'

What I mean is this. Have you guys written down the moves while playing stoned as an applepie and analysed the game afterwards, when being sober ?

What was the result of the analysing ? Was your play still as brilliant as you thought it was during playing ?
