Why not keep the argument here at home, about the libs' need to control the production and distribution of services,,,,you know, from each according to their ability to each according to their needs. Because,, that is what you are talking about. There are Many recent examples, like Eliz Warren wanting to require companies to put assembly line workers on a Board.

I am ...[text shortened]... you support socialism, reducing how much the rich guy can keep of his wealth , etc. Am I off base??
At home! Could you be more the arrogant yank!
America is home to a very small and increasingly irrelevant portion of humanity sleepy joe.

Socialism does not exist here at home. There is a socialist party and their candidate is also the candidate for the Green party, but without ranked choice voting Hungry Howie has an uphill battle. It will be interesting to see how well he does in Maine though. If he does better than expected there may be a movement to the other states.

You have a pretty much correct. I read Germany has businesses that employ many people are required to provide 5% profit sharing to employees. In the UK Jeremy Corbyn wants the same thing more or less. Naturally the wealthy people than run the news are calling him a communist and incorrect terms like that. Communism does not exist anywhere in the world and it never has. Private ownership of property exists in all countries and always has.

I meant we have problems in the USA, with serious threats to go socialist and you write about other countries. One can hardly speak to the status of, say, Portugal, unless one takes a collegecourse it. So why not not tell us whether or not you want socialism in this country, you should mention it a lot

@Metal-Brain - You are misrepresenting what I have said. I said capitalists hate competition,

Congratulations! You have spun your thread into a ditch.

I asked you,,,, I ASKED you to define what you want for parameters. Show me exactly what you mean
by "competition" and "socialism". I don't want to discus how fooking wrong EoT is
forever. Let's do a restart, define your parameters.

And all I get is time wasting accusations, bullpuppies and excuses.

All done. See ya

Wait earl!!!! Dont go, this may be when they answer the two questions!

what is 'fair share'?
How much income is 'enough'.

Oh, a 3rd one. If the Rich do not pay enough tax, how much should they pay? (They might want to google the facts on that one)

liberal definition of "fair" and actual "fair" are not the same, you know that.

So I wait for parameters to know how this "fair" competition takes place and where.
But I think it is all a wasted effort.

What is their take on our president who has changed the course of history forever, and just received three Nobel nominations

You are doing the spinning. I explained everything very well. You can pretend to be ignorant if you wish. I have seen all sorts of excuses for avoiding the continuation of a losing debate and yours does not surprise me.

Capitalists will not let socialism compete. They will resort to crippling sanctions, trade embargoes and all out war to suppress socialism. They even suppress it here domestically. The democrats cheated Sanders (not that he complained enough to show he cared) twice and Trump still calls people socialists that do not meet the definition at all. He even called Biden a socialist in the debate tonight and that is laughable. Biden is a DINO republican.

The thread is basically asking the question ‘can socialism compete with capitalism’ MB gave an example of it, the fact that the example isn’t in the US is irrelevant.
You do realise this isn’t a US website?

They think he’s a waste of oxygen like the rest of us.
Any other rhetorical questions rattling around in there Joe?

I must have missed that, Kev.

Do you agree that my showing of the fair competition between North and South Korea to be cogent?

Just asking. I think I got unjustifiably shut down by the OP.

My government imposed crippling sanction on North Korea.
Stealing their tankers of fuel is not fair. My government does the same thing to Venezuela.

Explain how that is allowing the DPRK to compete fairly? How are you going to spin this one?

I'm not in favor of sanctions, myself.

You're not just moving the goalposts, you're going to a new stadium.

Bullcrap! I have been very consistent about this all along. Imposing sanctions ruins an economy, not socialism.

I can cherry pick horrible capitalist regimes and say that is an example of the failure of capitalism. Saudi Arabia is a horrible regime that oppresses their people. See how horrible capitalism is? That is what right wingers are doing to misrepresent socialism. Saudi Arabia doesn't even have the excuse of being under sanctions to blame it on that.

You are pretending no goal post exists entirely. That is how you pretend you didn't lose this debate when you obviously did.
