so the guy deliberately murdered these people?

New Mexico fails to perform English Proficiency Test
Law enforcement across the country have gotten so used to accommodating all the illegal alien truck drivers that they think it's normal to communicate with professional truck drivers at a preschool level. What an embarrassment.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidI don't believe he is charged with "deliberate murder".

Though as I explained last month, he is charged with a crime that requires "recklessness" which requires a knowledge that the actions he took posed a substantial risk of death or serious injury to others. Obviously, it would be harder to prove that if he really couldn't read the sign forbidding a u-turn there.
@mike69 saidDid you actually watch it?

He communicates just fine.
@no1marauder saidIt was a circle with a U and line through it, I’m not sure how much English is needed to understand that. Not to mention no lane to exit off on to even do a u turn or anything resembling a place to turn around and he’s in an 18wheel truck and trailer. All of this, and he was still issued a professional cdl license driver.

@no1marauder saidI understood the beginning with a few slow basic words but after that what he says has no English in it what so ever, just fast rambling. If I didn’t watch it how would I know what was posted with it at the end along with who posted it.

I'll leave it to the court to try the case.

Does the cop explain he's knocking down the ticket to a 55 in a 45 and that he can go in front of a judge or just pay a fine? Does he say he'll pay the fine?
Does he then say he's never had a ticket and the cop say something like "Sorry I'm the first but you were speeding?" Does he then sign the ticket?
I guess right wingers, once they've absorbed the MAGA line, won't accept reality that conflicts with it even if they hear it with their own ears and see it with their own eyes.
@no1marauder saidSo what, that makes it ok? How about now, how did that work out for these three? Do you not agree what he did was totally ignorant and he thought his time was more valuable than everyone else’s by expecting everyone to be able to stop and wait on him to back back and forth and finally be able to turn around on both directions of traffic.

@mike69 saidHe's charged with a serious felony and the case is pending in court. If he's found guilty, he'll undoubtedly get a prison sentence.

I leave it to fact finders to decide cases who are presented with all the evidence at trial, I don't do so based on limited information available on the web.
I don't see any compelling reason he shouldn't have been given a CDL though based on what was known then.
@mike69 saidNo, he asked a question about how long the ticket would stay on his license and at first the cop didn't understand his heavily accented English but after he repeated it the cop told him 5-7 years depending on the State.
At the end the cop was just trying to get out of there and he didn’t understand him
@no1marauder saidThe cop guessed what he said at the end and hurried up and left before the guy started rambling again and he to try and figure it out again. It’s a common response, it’s uncomfortable not being able to understand someone. Does your video say what I said at the end?

@mike69 saidI don't care what it says at the end. I focused on the period from about 1:30 to 3:30 when the actual encounter between Singh and the cop is. I don't need someone else to tell me what I can see and hear myself.

The New Mexico police handled the situation correctly; there was no need for an English Proficiency Test. Politicians, media and others who say differently either didn't watch the video or are being dishonest about it.
Having heavily accented English which someone not used to hearing might have troubling understanding doesn't mean you can't speak or understand the language. Singh acted and spoke like he knew what was going on and engaged in conversation with the cop which both got the gist of.
