@AverageJoe1
That is TOTAL BS. I am reading Cohen's book Disloyal and it is an eye opener of just how depraved a snake Trump really it.
Of COURSE you would never read that book since to you it would be like reading the devil's bible. Even though every word is true.
@vivify saidDepending on your perspective, it could describe 90% of politicians of any country.
[b]do-nothing, arrogant, smug, not inherently bright (is he, really?), condescending, inverterate liar and plagiarizer many times over, potentially deviate politician, who flip flops on matters like fracking depending on what podium he is on. He and family have profited repulsively from his political position and now, not only is he mentally impaired, but has adopted the most ...[text shortened]... rum?
HOW do you not see this describes Trump, unless you're just trolling?
Are you trolling?
@averagejoe1 saidThe twisted thief Trump has done nothing but profit from his office since day one. You get more detached from reality by the day.
Trump is not a politician, he had no 'office' to profit from, as did Joe and his family. Did you hear about Joe's grifter son Hunter? So, that wipes out about half of the items above which you want compared to Trump.
Plagiarizing? Not Trump. Creepy around girls and women? Fondler? Waffling, flip-flopping on all issues? Can you name one flip-flop, where Trump has ...[text shortened]... ak characteristic, don't you think?
Trump is not weak, as is Biden. You lose this one bg time.
@kevcvs57 saidHere is a fair question. If Trump's 8 years were over now, and If another person (another businessman, another politician, another Republican) were now running for President with the same platform as exists for the party now, would you vote Republican.? Assuming he is guy you could like, would you vote for him, (his platform) or would you vote Democratic (Joe Biden)?

This question is for everyone, and the answers should clear the air a bit. I'll answer it too.
@averagejoe1 saidI'd like just once to read a post by you that doesn't sound like Sean Hannity.

@averagejoe1 saidI really wish you'd stop talking about socialism as if it has something to do with the United States.
I’n not so sure about that. Yes, There is no denying that the two parties are 180° apart on every thing that you can think of. It is truly amazing that they can yet live amongst each other. Well, now that I thought about it, they are not living so well together, are they.
But other than idealogically, the election is about hating and doing away with a president, for a ...[text shortened]... ow that, but it is worth it to them to sacrifice capitalism in order to get rid of the hated Trump.
@suzianne saidThere is no doubt, that my thinking is aligned with what I know about Hannity, but please know I do not listen to his diatribes. There are much more knowledgeable and bright people, like Breitbart, Mark Levin, they are dead on it. Educational.
I really wish you'd stop talking about socialism as if it has something to do with the United States.
Why the confusing statement about Socialism? C'mon, you know that Bernie is a registered socialist, and but not for Hillary's chicanery, he could be president today. Further, he and AOC Totally control Joe Biden. Verily, if Trump loses in November, Socialism will "...have something to do with the United States.
Am I right?
@averagejoe1 saidThe whole first paragraph until the last sentence i thought you were describing Trump. Seriously.
Big Picture? We have a life-long, unaccomplished, do-nothing, arrogant, smug, not inherently bright (is he, really?), condescending, inverterate liar and plagiarizer many times over, potentially deviate politician, who flip flops on matters like fracking depending on what podium he is on. He and family have profited repulsively from his political position and now, not ...[text shortened]... y bad for America? Personalities notwithstanding, who do we need to run such a complicated country?
@sonhouse saidFor the record , Sonhouse, if there is one sentence in that book that is fabricated or embellished or whatever, it thus renders the book a fraud. You and I know that since Cohen is writing it for personal reasons, getting back at Trump, that it is riddled with falsehoods. Would rather go fishing than read garbage, from which you will actually learn nothing of substance.

@sh76 saidI'll bite. You are saying then, that Trump is unaccomplished, do nothing , plagiarizer, potentially deviant, and a flip flopper on issues. I will not argue that he is or is not arrogant, smug, not 'inherently' bright. There are various opinions on that.
The whole first paragraph until the last sentence i thought you were describing Trump. Seriously.
But you think he is a plagiarizer, ... a flip flopper? Just when has he flip-flopped? I may learn something. Of course, changing his mind on things after he has received all the facts is a bit different than Biden, with all the facts on fracking at the outset, wakes up one day and is told by his party to flip flop for political reasons. Has Trump done that? I will venture that he has not.
You think Trump has not accomplished anything. hahahah. Has Biden? How many things? Trump a do-nothing? sh76, the man never sleeps!! Hahahah.
(If Suzianne can write 'right', I get to write hahaha. Looks funny in print, though, as does 'right?'😉
@averagejoe1 saidHe stands on a platform of racism and division so no Joe I wouldn’t support anyone on that platform.

But I would say that I’ve never been this invested in the decision regarding who sits in the Oval Office, from a left leaning brits perspective there’s not usually much to choose between the Rep and Dem candidates, but trump isn’t really either he’s just trump and you either love him or hate him.
@kevcvs57 saidThanks, good reply. Not to get into a protracted row about racism, though it puzzles us conservatives regarding liberals' comments about Trump being a racist, because his actions have truly lifted up blacks since he was elected. Unemployment down, more opportunity, more pay.

So, anyway, to my specific question. Given your thinking, given what you have written above, would you vote for Biden (thus socialism) instead of a Republican candidate with little or no baggage?

No, I thought you were being too harsh on him.
But seriously, to break it down in broad strokes:
===unaccomplished===
Definitely not unaccomplished, though his business record is quite mixed.
===do nothing===
True, he's not that.
===plagiarizer===
I don't think Trump worries about what he says enough to bother plagiarizing.
===potentially deviant===
Yup. See Access Hollywood.
=== and a flip flopper on issues.===
Yes. He used to be much more liberal on many issues. He adopted a far right populist platform only within the last 10 years.
=== I will not argue that he is or is not arrogant, smug, not 'inherently' bright ===
Arrogant and smug is undeniable. He also really isn't very bright.
But is there a man among you that can stand up and answer a simple question? We all know who wants and who does not want Trump to be president. (I guess if we stipulate to all that, we would not have much to write about 🤔 🤔) This has been re-hash city for months.
The question: If Trump were not in the race November, Would you vote for Biden, which means that some force of Socialism will rule the day, or would you vote for a Republican candidate, that has little or no baggage, if he were the candidate? You don't even have to give a reason, this is a poll!!! (I hate polls)
