I am five years older than my wife. We started dating when she was 17. We held off on sex until she (and I) were confident that we understood the consequences and both of us used birth control. Age never was a factor. She was/is ten times more mature and smarter than me. Then and now. That was 35 years ago, and we are still goin' strong.
Only you know how mature and ready you are. But be mature. Talk about ALL of the consequences.
