Yeah right; because the Americans & British cannot create chemical, biological weapons of their own?
So, if you saw 10 bucks on the pavement, you wouldn't take it because you already have ten bucks?

[HINT - who supplied Saddam with the chemical weapons he used on the Kurds and Iranians?]
So how does it make sense to you they no longer have any? They would've kept some up their sleeve, surely.

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't that what Gulf War One was all about - taking Saddams toys off him. Wasn;t that what sanctions were all about - making sure he didn't get them back again?

Surely not!

Why, that would be horrible!

Not bagging SlimDim (Slimjim?) cos i don't know him, but yes, i agree with Howardgee's point - the diffrence between whether he actively knew it was a lie or not is, perhaps, important.
Well, actually maybe it doesn't bother you whether he lied or not if you're an Iraqi citizen who's mother / father / brother / sister / wife / husband / son / daughter was killed during 'Shock and Awe' or in the subsequent invasion.

I am sure it would mean alot to the bereaved Iraqis if they knew their loved ones were killed due to the justifiable fear of the US/UK, etc...

..As opposed to their deaths being caused to simply fill the pockets of some of the invaders and their friends!

You must be talking about Brazilian oranges because oranges from Florida are some of the best in the world. Then again you may have a point and we ship the crappy ones overseas. I really don't care how the world views Americans because to be honest whatever we do someone will not like it and bitch about it. I say screw the rest of the world and the horse they rode up on.
Well, the modern world has cars now, I thought you guys would know since you looooooove oil and such.

The simple answer which all the evidence (or lack of evidence) points to is 'YES'.

The interesting question is "Did Bush Knowingly Lie?".

Since he has fewer brain cells than our own SlimDim, it is improbable that Bush has ever 'Knowingly' done anything.
Well that must make Bush and myself a genius because I have more brain cells in my toe than you have in your head Howeeeeeeeeeee.

He "knowingly" got elected president of the USA twice, Howie. He has "knowlingly" placed the Democrats in the political position of running against a Republican who can't run again instead of formulating a viable platform of their own.

"Most of the drivel you spout would probably get your teeth knocked out your mouth if you really had the balls to say it in a bar here in the states. "

Ahhhh, now you're entitled to your opinion, and to be honest, whilst sometimes I agree with Howeegee, sometimes I think he can be unecessarily rude. However, that said, the above statement - wtf? Isn;t freedom of speach / expression allowed in your country??? On that topic why is it unpatriotic to say 'I think President Bush is wrong'? Please illuminate me.

"if memory serves me "

How good is your memory?

Sure Saddam was a nasty piece of work, oppressing his own people, murdering thousands, using chemical weapons, etc.

Now, Dim.
Do you remember who sold Saddam the chemical weapons and supported his war against Iran?
Do you remember a famous picture of a certain member of your Government smiling broadly whilst shaking hands with the tyrant in happier times? (He is a Rum chap!)

Well, Dim - is your memory as dim as you are?

Hey Slim,

this one squeezed past me first time. I'll try putting it another, real simple way for you. Europe is the worlds richest trading block. How does that constitute an 'aenemic economy'?

btw, how big is the US deficit right now? $400 billion or so I believe? Hope that the war was worth it.

Actually, never mind - GWB will soon make it up through all the tax $ he's earning because of the oil shortages...

Hey, I remember that "arms bazaar" made up of a broad spectrum of foreign governments and corporations: British, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Brazilian, Argentinean, Chilean, North Korean, Chinese, South African, Eastern European, even Israeli.

But why go back just 20 years...didn't you chaps mess around in
Mesopotamia for a while?
