1. [DATE PRESENTED IN THE TR - 8/31] “A Day Without Capitalism” (This is the title of the first section of their work program. It is a plan for replacing the US capitalistic system with a socialist system. For the most part I will not analyze their planned changes. You’ll be able to do that yourself.)
2. [8/31] “Provide free, quality public education from pre-K to college and cancel all student debt.”
3. [8/31] “…Housing is a human right. Build new publicly owned social housing …” (Note this housing is owned and run by the government, not owned by the families that live there. Think about if you would like to live in section 8 housing.)
4. [8/31] “…establish universal rent control…”
5. [8/31] “Guarantee universal healthcare at no cost, including complete access to reproductive and gender-affirming care.”
6. [8/31] “Make all medical education and training public and free.”
I’ll list several of these DSA platform promises each week over the next month to give you a good idea how these democratic socialists want to change America. You can decide for yourself what you think.
