@Mott-The-Hoople saidLoss of 'freedom'? Are you serious?
“I see nothing wrong with this and much that is correct.”
Oh just the loss of freedom is all…stupid 🤡
This list gives Americans MORE freedom, you fool.
@Sleepyguy saidOh, people over corporations is uncomfortable for you?
New commies same as the old commies.
@AverageJoe1 saidWhat 'subservience'?
I'll ignore your last question, since I don't
But start your new world of writing about facts.
I think you want to be subservient to a government, and always promoting ,as does Marauder, a safety net. Crazy stuff. I built my safety net.
Tell us how you think about even one of the positions mentioned in the proposals of the DSA, or whoever it is. Write like you are talking to your grandmother in a nursing home.
Citizens come out on top over corporations.
That's a 'bad thing' now?
Sign your life away if you want, don't involve me in that scheme.
@Suzianne saidPlease make this a good two-sided discussion. I used to teach this stuff, you can have fun shooting the professor down!!!

First, you are assuming that socialism automatically put citizens ahead of corporations. If the government owns or controls, major corporations, you have not eliminated corporate power… You've transferred much of that power to the government. So that leaves the question… Who controls the resources and who has the power to make decisions? Is it the citizens themselves, or the state?? Right.
So this leads me to a question for you. If the government owns the major businesses, who ultimately controls those businesses? The individual citizens, or the government officials running them? Right.
So, Suziannr, follow me..... socialism can be social/worker ownership, Democratic public ownership, or, extensive government ownership and control.
Your turn. C'mon......
Edit: I reiterate...'You've transferred much of that power to the government'.
@Sleepyguy saidSuzianne is preparing her response to my post, which has elevated her reason!! She certainly has got it now!!! Her post will kick Shouse butt!!
LOL. You're an idiot.
@AverageJoe1 saidLike I said you are literally psychologically incapable of seeing any and I mean ANY problem with Trump and corruption. So go back to being a nice tame magate.
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop th4 RHP, I want to get off!!!!
@AverageJoe1 saidHow did 'socialism' enter this argument?

I am a socialist and I am for universal healthcare, but not for non health care which is what trans surgery is. You are shamelessly misleading people into thinking all socialists support optional surgery and pushing the myth that universal healthcare would be too expensive. You are already paying for health care other people cannot afford.

People in this country are not turned away from life saving surgery because they cannot afford it. You are already paying poor people's health care. You are just paying it later instead of sooner. All so the insurance companies can profit from your loss.
@Metal-Brain saidSomebody old me that socialism has never worked. My grannh wrote this to me, she is touring Cuba with her bridge club at the moment. She said you know,, Joe, if the usa were socialist, I would not have the resources to have seen the world ,,,,,what a downer. And, oh, Joe, would uou mail my monthly premium to my supplemeral insurance company, United Health Care? Thanks. See you in a few weeks, off to Peru next!!!! Granny

She said the Historic attempts at revolutionary, state-owned socialism—such as the Soviet Union, Maoist China, and Venezuela—led to severe economic stagnation, authoritarianism, and humanitarian crises. Critics and historians note that abolishing private property and market prices eliminated crucial economic incentives, leading to chronic shortages and inefficiency. @AverageJoe1 saidCapitalists have never given socialism a chance to work well. The USA has been trying to strangle Cuba's economy for decades. You cannot wage economic warfare on a country and honestly blame them for failing. Did your granny tell you about the oil blockade Trump has imposed on their country?

And if universal healthcare is so expensive how can a poor country like Cuba afford it while the wealthiest country in the world cannot? You have unwittingly destroyed your own argument. Trump is trying really hard to ruin Cuba's healthcare system with his fuel blockade. Who do you blame? Trump or Cuba?
