Is English your second (or third) language?

No, if it were, you'd be better at it.

How many times does it need to be explained to you?

no1: Sure, there aren't really races in humans but some people are not only incorrect in believing there are but extraordinarily stupid enough to believe that Race A is superior to Race B. This has adverse consequences for individuals of Race B.

It has been the scientific consensus that races don't really exist in humans since before an old codger like me was born:

"n 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued a statement asserting that all humans belong to the same species and that "race" is not a biological reality but a myth. This was a summary of the findings of an international panel of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists.

A great deal of evidence had accumulated by that time to support this conclusion, and the scientists involved were those who were conducting research and were most knowledgeable about the topic of human variation. Since that time similar statements have been published by the American Anthropological Association and the American Association of Physical Anthropologists, and an enormous amount of modern scientific data has been gathered to justify this conclusion.

Today the vast majority of those involved in research on human variation would agree that biological races do not exist among humans. Among those who study the subject, who use and accept modern scientific techniques and logic, this scientific fact is as valid and true as the fact that the earth is round and revolves around the sun."

so now its not the color of the skin?
It was never only the color of the skin: Anti-Irish or anti-Catholic discrimination, the Chinese Exclusion Act, putting Japanese-Americans in concentration camps, Trump targeting Muslim countries with travel bans, etc.

In Africa, racism is often labeled 'tribalism' and involves a President installing members of his 'tribe' in gov't offices. A lot like what Trump is doing now... πŸ˜†

Make America Tribal Again! πŸ˜†

That you are sufficiently uneducated, stubborn and ignorant not to accept this scientific fact doesn't make it any less true.

Because the word has no actual reality in humans, "race" gets thrown around a lot in a meaningless way. Nazis would talk about an Aryan "race" and a Jewish one with the same type of certainty as a majority Bantu might talk about Bantu and Pygmy "races".

For my purposes, it just means an artificial division of humans based on regional evolutionary changes with the most obvious being skin color. That primarily defines the type of racism so prevalent among the right wing i.e. a belief that the white "race" is superior to other "races".

It's scientifically silly but that doesn't mean it fails to have profoundly negative consequences.

I think the percentage of right wingers who are ignorant racists is quite high.

Of course, they aren't going to say so - look at Mott's posts here. But you're kidding yourself if you don't see that there is a substantial portion of the right in the US who think that most of our problems stem from inferior nonwhites and many of their policy preferences reflect that.

Google "replacement theory" and "white nationalism" for further details.
ah, so people who disagree with your political opinions are racist, even if they won't admit it you say?

That's a pretty terrible way to talk about people you don't know. Of the people you actually do know who are republicans, would you say the majority of them are racists? You're saying your friends who are republicans are racists?

Have you tried to telling your friends that's what you think of them?

No, people who believe that "Race" A is superior to "Race" B are racists.

And holding your breath until you turn blue doesn't change the fact that many of the policy positions of right wingers are based on racist principles. Maybe you should read that Charlie Kirk quote I gave and recognize that he has become a major player in the Trump transition team. Many, if not most, right wingers agree with his "replacement theory" views which were prominently featured on Tucker Carlson's show and are the basis for the right wing hysteria about immigration.

If one of your racist friends tell you that Haitians are eating family pets in Ohio are you too scared to tell them that is BS?

Ask any republican person you know if they actually believe people were eating pets.

Geez man, you see ghosts everywhere. That's a terrible way to live...thinking every other person you meet is a racist...175 million americans are republicans and you think they are all racists.

What a horrible country the US must be then! Why would any non-white person ever decide to move there? 50% of the country are closet KKK'ists?

Come back from the deep end, laddie. It ain't safe for ya down there.

How about this "Republican person":

""In Springfield, they're eating the dogs," Trump said Sept. 10. "The people that came in. They're eating the cats. They're eating, they're eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what's happening in our country. And it's a shame."

No, incorrect.

You people use language wrong all the time.

Like calling Biden's DoJ 'weaponized' when all it is doing is trying to prosecute Trump for breaking the law. We'll be sure to see actual 'weaponization' now, when Trump goes after his supposed 'enemies' for doing their jobs.

And now white nationalists trying to get people to believe that they're not actually racists.

If you like Republicans so much, can you get them to NOT lie with every other sentence?
