States that might be red:

He still won’t give us a gracious acceptance speech. Win or lose he doesn’t have a gracious bone in his body.
Yeah, but he is constantly getting things done. Don't see that happening any more with Sleepy.
Trump wins.

Civil unrest. That’s my serious prediction.
The best quote I saw was along the lines of: "The Americans are going to have another civil war. The problem is it's over the same thing as last time."

I think we are re-learning the truth from ancient Greek and Roman civilizations: the greatest danger to democracy is a demagogue. This is why. The Founders knew this, but they studied Latin and Greek. We don't so much anymore.

How are you @shavixmir? Keeping well?

Well, Jeeeez, Spruce, I think most candidates are demagogues at certain times.

Biden, early on, said that America has to walk away from fossil fuel and end fracking.
Lately, he is saying he will NOT end fracking, probably because he is afraid he will
lose the key state of Pennsylvania. Tell them what they want to hear!

Of course, politicians can NEVER change their stance

I think the main Libertarian objection to fracking is possibly poisoning aquifers with chemicals. We have no idea if that is happening. We purposely cut short that research and went full speed ahead so that a few can make money. (Nobody beats America when it comes to crony-capitalism!) But pollution is not OK for Libertarians.

As for fossil fuels, we could and probably should wean off them out of caution. They are expensive and messy.

I'd rate Trump's chances of winning Michigan as remote; he won it by an eyelash over the unpopular HRC but it swung solidly back to the Dems in 2018. Same with Wisconsin.

Trump will probably win Texas, Iowa and Ohio unless it is a complete blowout.

Florida is a toss up as usual but Trump absolutely needs it and Biden doesn't. Same with Georgia which is shifting blue as is Arizona but maybe not this election.

It's possible but unlikely he can flip Minnesota and Nevada States he lost in 2016. If he couldn't beat Hillary in them, what reason is there to beat Biden, who has much higher favorability ratings than HRC did, there?

I think Pennsylvania puts Biden over the top; again the Dems bashed the Republicans there in the midterms.

I think Biden will win North Carolina which is shifting blue like neighboring Virginia.

Divegeester, this is the post of the thread.

I am trying to wrap my head around the question.
How the fack is this clown still getting low 40's support ??

He's trying to run this country like a corporation.
But the irony is that if America was a corporation, he would have been out on his ass a long time ago.

I think Graham hangs on (unfortunately).
We'll see. Harrison surprisingly out fund-raised Graham over the summer. I'd love to see Graham get his lying, hypocritical mouth closed.

Take a good look at a typical Trump supporter.

Then you say, okay, now I get it.

I'm getting wasted tomorrow.

I predict a Biden win.

I think it will take a week for the results 🤔
I hope you're wrong, I predict a Republican avalanche in the House and Senate and a comfortable Trump win.
People are sick of the dems, even dems are sick of their party.

I still think that it's going to be Trump, and possibly by more than last time. It sounds crazy, but I sense a sea change in global politics that the polls aren't capturing. I don't believe that a Biden victory is consistent with the direction of the world.

I think now is an appropriate moment to raise the issue of our wager. I haven't thought of an appropriate charity ...[text shortened]... uld entertain the idea of staying up to watch the results, but the time difference is a real killer.
I already have a charity in mind.

Don't want to jinx it though.

The United Caucasian College Fund?
