I am not convinced you believe your own argument.
Athenians and Spartans still exist. Ethnic Egyptians too (the non Arabized ones call themselves Copts). Iraqis still exist, just as in ancient Uruk (Iraq = Uruk). China's still there. I wonder if you would lecture the Han Chinese about how they're not really the people who invented gunpowder, paper, crossbows, compasses etc? Persians still exist (Iran = Aryan) and so do the people of Mali, famous for Mansa Musa. Mongols still live in Mongolia and the Irish are still Gaelic Celts.
Isn't it amazing how cultures don't just disappear?
