This is a most disturbing philosophy, not caring about the ACTUAL place we live in because you are deeply duped about a supposed second life in some heaven (or hell, all made up by religions) that humans are WAY above all other life forms on the planet so much so a god want's SOME of those folks to permanently worship this god presumably because of a flagging ego of said god who NEEDS humans to adore it.

What was the purpose for your god to allow humans to make and use atomic weapons that can kill entire cities with one bomb and kill 90% of humans and animals and bombs now so huge in megatonnage even the RUSSIANS are afraid to use them.

That is for sure true. But why would said god allow weapons so powerful they could in theory end most life on the planet? Surely a god would want to save our jewel of a planet for life to flourish and humans are doing their very best to destroy it through greed and war.

My objections to modern organized religion are irrelevant to the religious set, if anything I am the nutjob, not getting with the program🙂
On a totally different subject, there is a post Phd astronomer coming up with data possibly indicating our galaxy is somewhere in the middle of a 'cosmic void' over one BILLION light years across, not saying no stars in that huge bubble but some 20% less mass in it than elsewhere in the universe, if so, possibly explaining the 'Hubble tension', that bit where the cosmological constant of the spreading of stars and galaxies depending on distance has two separate numbers depending on how it is measured which is driving cosmologists batty🙂

We've seen what happens when those in charge kowtow to the religionistas. Women in this country no longer have a sovereign right to their own bodies. God meant for humans to have free will. This is so those who do not believe have made their own choice to believe or not. They cannot claim they were coerced to believe (or at least say they believed) or not to believe, so that they have a responsibility for where they stand. Can you imagine how bad things could get if our government was run by people who gave favor only to those of their own religion? Trust would be lost because fully half of the country would become liars overnight. God doesn't exactly work that way. He makes sure people are accountable for their own actions. This is why Israel has repeatedly paid the price for their failing to always follow God.
I've always sought a middle ground between both sides. But, humans being human, some people can't handle that.
