@shavixmir saidYes, maybe we did lift stuff from other countries, certainly England, and the French were big-time help in helping us form our country in the 1770s. The dutch, though? Just how much did we get from the dutch? Beyond baskets and woven clothes?
Uh... didn't you copy your constitution from the Dutch?
Yes. Yes you did.
Or was it the declaration of independence? I forget. It was so long ago.
Both Consitutution and Declaration were formed with ideas of European countries. We also copied carriages and thatch roofs from various countries, Ireland, maybe?
Your point? You saying we derived our existence from the faerie country of Dutchland?!?!? They did invent the dutch door, and glazing for painting.... I will give you that.
@Suzianne
Well, Mikey Johnson, Trump's personal pet squeaker of the house is certainly one.
He was in that crowd in back of Trump when he was on the sidewalk saying he couldn't testify because of the gag order, did you see that clip? His lawyer shaking his head yes when Trump turned to him, that's right? Shake head yesπ
And there was good old pet Mikey right behind him with HIS buddies there too.
@Suzianne
My only thing is I don't claim to be atheist, with a near infinite universe it would be the height of arrogance to say there is no god. I just don't think the ones invented 2000 years ago and 1500 years ago are based on a real god, I think they are all man made. I guess that puts me in nutcase territory.
Just based on how poorly we are running the planet for instance, nuclear weapons by the thousands, if WW3 goes on, their may be no humans left and 90% of land animals gone too. Just don't think a real god would allow that or even the MAKING of nukes.
To me it is really disturbing to hear people like Kelly say everything is about the NEXT life and who cares if we destroy the planet.
But if a god made Earth, one would think it would be REALLY PISSED if we destroyed most of the life here including ourselves.
@sonhouse saidWhy do you write this? I would rather write 4 posts in a row that make sense, than this prattle you are writing. You are actually telling us that people who support Trump, were there, supporting Trump?

@AverageJoe1
VERY few, I guess you missed the coverage of Trump talking about how he could not testify when asked 'because of the gag order' which was total BS, there was NOTHING in the gag order forbidding him to testify, he wanted to just have that excuse just like he puked out the excuse of not revealing his tax forms because of the "Audits'' which was total BS also.
Are you saying his pet squeaker of the House Mikey was NOT there behind him? along with that idiot stopping the military promotions and some others?
@sonhouse saidThis life is going to end as this universe is going to and the next one will not have a drop of evil in it. It isn't a failed anything, it is a place where choices are being made calls have gone out, and acceptance and rejections are occurring. You seem to be limiting everything to just this life, which as it stands now is temporary.
@KellyJay
So it matters little if we off ourselves and 90% of the animals on Earth in a catastrophic nuclear war and your god would do nothing, maybe go, well it was a failed experiment?
@KellyJay
You do realize the entire dinosaur time frame is but a tiny fraction of the PRESENT age of the universe, clocking in at near 14 billion years and some estimates at near 30 billion years, the universe will still be pumping out new stars when OUR star has gone nova and all the planets burned up by our sun growing to about a billion miles across and that in maybe 4 billion years but WAY before that, humans will be gone more like a million years from now maybe, a blink of time in the vast age of the universe. Humans are just not that big a deal from the perspective of the universe at large. Our universe may be around for a hundred billion years and our star will have spread its star dust across thousands of light years and new stars formed from the nebula when that stuff meets the dust of interstellar space and new stars get born and a new bevy of planets as well some of which will support life.
@sonhouse saidI don't care how old you think the planet and universe are, no time stamp on it alters all the limitations of what it takes to put into place the fine-tuning of the universe or the functional complexity of life. You can say billions of years are a reality, I'll give you any date you want, but with any amount of time you think you need you'll not be able to explain the origins of the universe or life, and from that point the beginning if you suggest it all started in chaos how it went to fine-tuning, to the information bearing properties of life driving all of the integrated systems within it.

Grand story on what you say took place for a hundred billion years, the mechanisms to see those things happening are what? What is it we see today that we can point to that would make that even probable let alone possible?
