There are some studies that estimate our planet can sustain a maximum population of 12-13 billion based on resource consumption.
And that might be a bit generous, considering there are other factors that can strain resource capacity of our planet.
For one, I think that just bringing China and India to prosperity levels similar to the west would be like adding 2 billion people to our planet.
So, what do you think ? Just keep increasing our population without limits ?
And if we decide to address this problem, the first place we would look for a solution is sexual orientation ?

Notice I said the elites of the country. It is not the only method, it is just one that is less directly forcing it on people. Simply make it part of the plan for a country that does not want to take the total authoritarian approach.
