Just thought about a recent UK government attempt to lower birth rate...

No sex during covid. Notice those in charge did not follow the command, only after getting caught do they resign. It will be interesting to see the results of the policy.

Did a google search of women's education in the US and found this interesting

Notice it was passed in 1974. Why would a bunch of mostly elderly white men pass a bill to help educate young girls?

No Child Left Behind aka population control by making sure the lowest academically performing kids get as educated as possible.

It just goes to explain why Repbulicans who do not really care about the poor are interested in education. It also explains why they put an emphasis on the bottom 25 percent without regard for preparing students for college.

This push to close the gap and concentrate your effort on the bottom 25 percent, almost all of whom will not be graduating from college, has always confused me. Now the push makes perfect sense. There is no desire to prepare students for college in general public education, just a push to lower birth rates.

The very rich, who fund politicians like GW, educate their kids in exclusive private schools. Why would they want public schools to produce more kids who would comete against their kids in Universities?

Complaints about dumbing down American schools have been being made since the 80's. Now we know why.
