Like I said, out crossing took place. Even the isolation did not prevent this. So even Askenazi Jews are not pure. They never deserved a country in Palestine anymore than I am entitled to the Netherlands or Ireland. I am mostly English.
The notion that blue eyed people are entitled to a country in the middle east is absurd. This is not about religion. This is about DNA. One of my siblings got a DNA test to see what our genealogy was and found out we had about 4% Norwegian DNA. Viking from Norway invaded and occupied ...[text shortened]... d which would explain that. Have you ever had a DNA test like that done?

Do I descend from the Mosaic Jews? I think so, but who really knows? I look pretty white, so I'm sure there is plenty of European blood in my ancestry as well.
But who cares? If you showed me a DNA test that showed I'm a mix of Cossack and German, it wouldn't change my behavior or lifestyle one iota. It wouldn't make me feel any better or worse about my religion to know that I'm less or more racially related to the Semitic Jews.

I just think people who identify as being Jewish should admit how little Jew DNA they have. It is like they are aspiring to be in a club that they mostly do not belong in. I get the pride in ancestry and all but be honest. It would be like me claiming to be Dutch because I am 5% Dutch. I am mostly English and Irish. If I claimed to be Dutch wouldn't that be mostly dishonest?
Given the difficulties that people often experience just from being Jewish or perceived as being Jewish, who would choose that?
It's similar to "why would anyone choose to be gay?" (BTW, thank you ancient Jews and all your stupid offshoots, for laying the groundwork for some bigotry in that area.)
Why not just take people at their word without being so easily dismissive of their self-conceptions and backgrounds, of which you know little?

Probably more Jewish than JD Vance is Catholic.
As mentioned above, Jewishness is matrilineal, so if over time a bunch of Jewish women thought "blue-eyed guy has a face so pretty" then that might eventually result in a bunch of blue-eyed Jews being born, even though having blue eyes is considered a recessive trait.
Plus (in case you are under-informed) maybe there was some strategic assimilation or lying-low along the way in some regions that were hostile to Jews.
As a cynical faculty member once joked (?): "There's always a Jew in the woodpile."
