This board was filled with people like you with "arguments" like "the liberals will be letting people marry trees"!
But hey just because venom against Group A becomes politically unpopular doesn't mean you can't find an even smaller minority to try to oppress and in general make their lives miserable. That's essentially what all this is about; any rational person knows the issue is trivial and effects an incredibly small number of athletes (an official of the NCAA testified that there were about a dozen transgender athletes competing in its events out of hundreds of thousands) but hey, that doesn't mean it can't be on Fox News every night.

no1: Sports organizations, not politicians, should decide who is eligible to compete in their events (assuming they comply with all civil rights laws).
IF I was on a governing body of such an organization and a transgender girl or woman wished to compete in a female only event, I would:
A) Require them to have had some significant gender affirming treatment that altered their bodily traits (something like many States require before they allow a gender change on a drivers license; https://www.autoinsurance.com/guide/how-to-change-gender-drivers-license/).
B) Once that was shown, they would be presumptively eligible to compete unless and until there was compelling scientific evidence that girls and women who receive such treatments retain a marked physical advantage over female athletes (not a generic comparison between the "average" male v. the "average" female).
