Not really. A fertilized egg has, in itself, all the potential necessary for a fully functional living being. Sperm and eggs do not.

Im in favour of legalising abortion because you cant prevent a mother from doing it herself and risking her own life in the proces. But I think that any woman who has an abortion and was not raped when she got pregant should be sterilised.

There are lots of things I think are morally wrong. People do them every day. I happen to think abortion is wrong. But I'm not ready to take away someone's right to have one just because my personal beliefs disagree with it. And I'm certainly not willing to sterilize another human being.

Yes this is all true but what I was trying to say was: Driving under the infuence is illegal because it can lead to unwanted deaths.
Having sex under the infuence is not illegal but it can also lead to unwanted deaths if abortion is legal.
