Whether someone comes here to make a better life or for some ‘other reason’ pick a reason, doesn’t, by itself, determine whether the word applies. Motive and definition are two separate issues.

"typically with hostile intent or disruptive effects."
Neither applies to the vast majority of undocumented immigrants.
@AverageJoe1 saidThere’s more than one way/person to possibly answer, I have no way of knowing??

@no1marauder saidI assume you are composing a post as to how they have not caused disruptive effects, all 20 million of them.

Let’s start with that, and then dissect hostile intent.
@AverageJoe1 saidI don't believe that number is close to accurate. Maybe 14 million at most, spread over decades.

No, the vast majority came up, started working and most raised families. That isn't "disruptive"; it's economically beneficial as the numerous studies I have presented show.
@no1marauder saidThere were 4.7 million expulsions of OTHER invaders, so add that to your 14, and yes, Trump did embellish, but don't all politicians. Call it a lie. Biden lied like crazy, so put it to bed.

Read this, you will get the drift. Note he word 'chaos' at the top, that means the cultural impact, (I think I will rape that beautiful white girl),,,,I think I will drive a truck and kill people, I think I will not change the way I live as I live among civil americans....
And the sentence,,,,they pay only 17% of the costs they create.
You defend everything that is wrong. Have you ever noticed that? And you love to interject 'families' into your posts about illegals, as if that changes things. We did not create their families, that was their CHOICE.
"""This chaos is also imposing record costs on Americans. Last year, FAIR published a report entitled the
Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers. The study strives to illustrate the
myriad of ways Americans pay for illegal immigration. Our estimate, which is a conservative one, is that
Americans now pay $150.7 billion dollars annually due to illegal immigration. This figure represents a
net cost. In terms of gross expenditures due to illegal immigration, we estimate that Americans pay
$182 billion. Approximately $31 billion is received from illegal aliens in taxes, only 17 percent of the
costs they create.
The fiscal burden of illegal immigration is due to several factors. First, because illegal aliens usually have
low incomes, those who do pay taxes pay little, if anything. Second, illegal aliens incur significant costs
to the taxpayer on a daily basis, because public services such as policing, K-12 education, emergency
services, etc., are provided universally. Further, due to loose eligibility criteria – intentional or otherwise
– many illegal aliens receive benefits from federal, state, and local jurisdictions, despite the fact that
they have no legal status.
The majority of costs are incurred at the state and local level. The predominant cost at the state and
local level is K-12 education of the children of illegal aliens, which costs taxpayers roughly $70 billion
each year. This estimate covers the education of children with no legal status and U.S.-born children.
The second highest expenditure for illegal aliens at the state level is medical expenditures, which we
estimate to be approximately $22 billion annually. This figure includes costs attributable to
uncompensated medical care, improper Medicaid payouts, Medicaid for citizen children of illegal aliens,

@AverageJoe1 saidOf course this isn't 'colored' by your hatred of them at all.
I assume you are composing a post as to how they have not caused disruptive effects, all 20 million of them.

[/sarcasm]
20 million is near twice the actual number.
And Trump himself has caused more 'disruptive effects' than all of the undocumented immigrants put together.
But you're white, you think he's your 'savior'.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidAre we not making it just fine NOW?
Was the US not making it just fine BEFORE the illegals invaded?
Except for Trump's 'disruptive effects', I mean.
Are you glad Trump lost his manufactured war?
Care to break down an average of how much that has cost/will cost the average American?
@AverageJoe1 saidWell, ICE wore masks, that's why.
Let's back up a few months, (like when we had to form an ICE process to rid us of invaders).
The 'Sense' is that we do not know who they are, these people that are sitting at your Thanksgiving table., maybe driving your grandchild to school... You are not listening to your average Joe.
And, in case you can't figure it out, ICE were the invaders in our big cities. Who's going to rid us of them, before they kill more Americans?
@AverageJoe1 saidLike ICE?
To "invade" means to enter a place, space, or state forcefully, intrusively, or in unwanted numbers, typically with hostile intent or disruptive effects.
give it up
@AverageJoe1 saidFAIR is an extremist anti-immigration organization which completely ignores the positive economic effects of undocumented workers:
There were 4.7 million expulsions of OTHER invaders, so add that to your 14, and yes, Trump did embellish, but don't all politicians. Call it a lie. Biden lied like crazy, so put it to bed.

"According to the Pew Research Center, the total number of unauthorized immigrants in the labor force was 8.3 million in 2022, which represented just under 5% of the total U.S. workforce and 3% of the total U.S. population."
Only 3.1% of those were estimated to be employed.
https://www.epi.org/publication/unauthorized-immigrants/
5% of US GDP was about $1.3 trillion in 2022. That economic output dwarfs FAIR's figures which are inaccurate and biased anyway, regarding education as a "cost" rather than an "investment" and including US citizens in their estimates.
I'm too bored to look up the studies I have shown you numerous times that conclude unauthorized immigrants have a lower crime rate than the natural born; since Fox News focuses on a small number of sensational crimes in aa vast country of 340 million with 4% undocumented immigrants you have been properly brainwashed anyway.
@AverageJoe1 saidAgain, like ICE?
